REGULAR MEETING <br />FEBRUARY 19, 1985 <br />Starting at the corner of Broadway and Carroll Streets, <br />proceeding west on Broadway to Franklin Street,.south on <br />Franklin to Ewing, and west on Ewing to Rum Village Park where <br />the race will end. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the above request was referred to the Bureau of Traffic <br />and Lighting and the Police Department Traffic Division for review <br />and recommendation. <br />APPROVE RESCISSION OF PRIOR APPROVAL - MASSAGE TECHNICIAN LICENSE <br />Board Attorney Carolyn V. Pfotenhauer advised that after further <br />discussions with Ms. Sandra K. Voekler, 4402 - 3B Hickory Road, <br />Mishawaka, Indiana, it was determined that due to the type of <br />massage Ms. Voekler will perform, she is exempt from the Massage <br />Technician requirements pursuant to Municipal Code Section <br />4-35(b)(2) as she is a licensed cosmotologist with the State of <br />Indiana. It would therefore be appropriate for the Board to <br />rescind the license which they originally approved on February 11, <br />1985. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill <br />and carried, the prior approval of a Massage Technician license <br />for Sandra K. Voekler was rescinded. <br />APPROVE HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMIT <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and <br />carried, the following one (1) handicapped parking permit <br />application was approved and referred to the Deputy Controllergs <br />office for issuance of a permit: <br />E.W. Joy, 1865 Campeau, S.B. <br />FILING OF HUMANE SOCIETY REPORT - JANUARY <br />The Humane Society report for the month of January indicated the <br />following matters handled for the City of South Bend: <br />DOGS HANDLED: <br />214 <br />CATS HANDLED: <br />85 <br />OTHER ANIMALS HANDLED: <br />36 <br />BITE CASES HANDLED: <br />2 <br />COMPLAINTS HANDLED: <br />168 <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and <br />carried, the above report as submitted was accepted and filed. <br />FILING OF STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT <br />The report submitted to the Board indicated a total of eighty-two <br />(82) street light outages reported during the period December 10, <br />1984, through January 24, 1985. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the report as <br />submitted was filed. <br />APPROVE CLAIMS <br />Deputy City Controller Carol M. Sanders submitted Claim Docket No. <br />3059 through Claim Docket No. 3659 and recommended approval. Upon <br />a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and <br />carried, the claims were approved and the report as submitted was <br />filed. <br />1 <br />1 <br />
