2 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />FEBRUARY 4, 1985 <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works has reviewed said <br />inventory of all real property owned by the City of South <br />Bend are not necessary to the public use and are not set <br />aside by State or City laws for public purposes; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works now wishes to take <br />the necessary action to make it possible for the Board, in <br />the future, to sell said parcels of real estate pursuant to <br />State Statutes. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public <br />Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana: <br />That the parcel of real estate owned by <br />the City contained in the following list <br />is not necessary to the public use and <br />is not set aside by State or City laws <br />for public purposes: <br />ADDRESS: DEED NO. <br />1614 S. Parmerlee, Clerk <br />ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION NO. 5-1985 - DISPOSAL OF OBSOLETE VEHICLE <br />(STREET DEPARTMENT) <br />In a letter to the Board, John E. Leszczynski, Director, Public <br />Works advised that the Street Department owns an old armored truck <br />that has not been used for several years for any purpose. The <br />vehicle has very little value and the Department would like to <br />dispose of it. Upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Mr. <br />Hill and carried, the following Resolution No. 5-1985 was adopted: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 5-1985 <br />WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Board of Public <br />Works that the following Street Department vehicle is no <br />longer suitable for the purpose for which it was intended <br />and no longer needed by the City of South Bend: <br />1960 Chevrolet Truck <br />Model # 0051 <br />Serial # 00512F123408 <br />WHEREAS, Indiana Code 36-1-11-6 permits and establishes <br />procedure for disposal of personal property which is unfit <br />for the purpose for which it was intended which is no longer <br />needed by the City. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works <br />of the City of South Bend that the vehicle listed above is not <br />fit for the purpose for which it was intended and is of minimal <br />value. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said vehicle be disposed of and <br />removed from the City Vehicle Inventory. <br />1 <br />
