0 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />JANUARY 22, 1985 <br />until 12:00 noon with approximately forty (40) buses and fifteen <br />(15) to twenty (20) cars for each concert. Therefore, they are <br />requesting the use of the traffic control assistance for this <br />event. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. <br />Hill and carried, the above request was referred to the Bureau of <br />Traffic and Lighting and the Police Department Traffic Division <br />for review and recommendation. <br />APPROVE HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMITS <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and <br />carried, the following six (6) handicapped parking permit <br />applications were approved and referred to the Deputy Controller';s <br />office for issuance of permits: <br />Gladys R. Ankney, 1501 Liberty, Apt. D, Mish. <br />Leo Heddens, 5503 University Park Dr., Apt. B, Mish. <br />Thelma Wojtan, 6216 Exeter Ct., S.B. <br />Frances E. Czarnecki, 57359 Alan Rd., S.B. <br />Elmer C. Blondell, 717 E. Altgeld, S.B. <br />Nellie A. Parkhouse, 23500 Ardmore, S.B. <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and <br />carried, the following three (3) traffic control devices were <br />approved: <br />NEW INSTALLATION, HANDICAPPED PARKING - 1214 S. 29TH STREET. <br />Required for Sts. and Ambo pick-up & oxygen/medical <br />supplies deliveries. (Couple 75 & 76. She has <br />failing eyesight, faltering mobility due to leg and <br />hip problems. He has severe emphysema.) <br />NEW INSTALLATION, NO PARKING, TOW AWAY ZONE - South side <br />of Navarre from Michigan Street, west approximately <br />140 ft. (Opposite the Memorial Hospital Emergency <br />Room Drive. This order is to clarify the record. <br />Former land use was a gas station. Recently <br />converted - free demolition - to a hospital <br />parking lot. Former parking restrictions were a <br />combination of yellow curbs and signs surrounding <br />the now abandoned station drive -ways.) <br />NEW INSTALLATION, NO PARKING - Both sides of Vassar <br />from Wilber to 20' east of Lawndale. (24' wide <br />street, along Muessel Park. To provide for 2 lanes <br />of traffic flow. <br />APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATION - RUBBISH AND GARBAGE <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the following seven (7) Rubbish and <br />Garbage license applications have been received: <br />1. Powell Highsmith <br />3806 Linden, S.B. <br />2. John Lindsey <br />209 S. Bendix, S.B. <br />3. Jessie Walker, Jr. <br />210 N. Kenmore, S.B. <br />4. Elson Shelton <br />922 N. Olive, S.B. <br />1 <br />1 <br />
