JOSEPH COUNTY, INC. <br />SPECIALIZED TRANSPORTATION SERVICE <br />The targeted goal for this activity is to provide 7,500 one-way <br />trips to handicapped persons residing within the corporate <br />boundaries of the City of South Bend. The total cost of this <br />activity shall not exceed $43,000.00 which will be reimbursed to <br />the Specialized Transportation System on a cost per trip basis. <br />The cost per trip will be determined at the beginning of the <br />contracting period. <br />NORTHEAST NEIGHBORHOOD COUNCIL, INC. <br />NORTHEAST NEIGHBORHOOD COUNCIL <br />The targeted goal for this activity is to be open 240 days for <br />public access to the Center and the services it provides. The <br />total cost of this activity shall not exceed $4,500.00. Funds for <br />this activity may be used only for telephone and gas costs. <br />LEGAL SERVICES PROGRAM OF NORTHERN INDIANA, INC. <br />LEGAL SERVICES ACTIVITY <br />The targeted goal for this activity is to provide 1700 persons <br />with legal counseling or referral services. The total cost of <br />this activity shall not exceed $52,000.00. <br />MADISON CENTER, INC. <br />RAPE CRISIS COUNSELING ACTIVITY <br />The targeted goal for this activity is to counsel 36 victims and <br />provide outreach and support services to 300 non -victim <br />individuals. The total cost of this activity shall not exceed <br />$28,466.00. <br />YOUNG WOMEN'S CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION <br />WOMEN'S CRISIS SHELTER ACTIVITY <br />The targeted goal for this activity is to provide shelter to 150 <br />women and children. The total cost of this activity shall not <br />exceed $24,000.00. <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />GENERAL STREET IMPROVEMENTS ACTIVITY <br />The targeted goal for this activity is to improve 100 blocks <br />within the Neighborhood Revitalization Area through slurry and <br />paving programs. The other activities to be completed with these <br />funds are: <br />1. NHS Public Works - Northeast <br />2. Chapin Street Neighborhood Revitalization District <br />Public Works <br />3. Monroe Park Truck Access <br />The total cost of this activity shall not exceed $460,000.00. <br />Each individual project may not exceed the following: <br />1. NHS Public Works - Northeast $ 75,000.00 <br />2. Chapin Street NRD $ 50,000.00 <br />3. Monroe Park Truck Access $ 60,000.00 <br />4. Street Improvements $275,000.00 <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the above Contracts were approved and executed. <br />APPROVE AND EXECUTE PETITIONS TO RELEASE ACCRUED TAX AND REMOVE <br />PROPERTY FROM TAX ROLLS <br />Board Attorney Carolyn V.
