Additionally, the Dynapac
CC21 was a John Deere 4239DF with the letter designating a
flywheel assembly of special design for this machine which is also
unfamiliar to the maintenance staff. The Tampo has the John Deere
4239D which is a standard production model diesel engine which may
be more familiar to the maintenance staff than the others
mentioned.
Another consideration was the parts availability as stated in the
letter copy from Tampo Manufacturing to Reid -Holcomb.
Mr. Leszczynski advised that bids for the above referred to
equipment were opened by the Board on December 31, 1984. Upon a
motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried,
the recommendation was accepted and the bid awarded.
ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION NO. 2-1985 - SCRAP AND JUNK DEALERS LICENSE
FOR 1985 (SUPER AUTO SALVAGE COMPANY, INC.)
Mr. Leszczynski advised that on January 7, 1985, the Board adopted
Resolution No. 1-1985, recommending to the Common Council that
renewal licenses be issued to seventeen (17) scrap/junk/recycling
dealers. At that time, Super Auto Salvage Company, Inc., 3300
South Main Street, South Bend, Indiana, was not included in the
list as they did not comply with ordinance requirements. Mr.
Leszczynski further advised that since that time, a reinspection
of the premises has been conducted and Super Auto Salvage is now
in compliance and eligible for license renewal. Therefore, upon a
motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried,
the following Resolution No. 2-1985 was adopted and the Clerk was
instructed to provide to the Common Council an amended Council
Resolution which would include this junk dealer so final action by
the Council can be taken at their meeting to be held this date:
RESOLUTION NO. 2-1985
WHEREAS, a junk dealer renewal license application for the
year 1985 has been received by the Board of Public Works; and
WHEREAS, an inspection of the property has been completed by
the Department of Code Enforcement and the Fire Prevention Bureau
as required by Chapter 4, Article 4, Section 4-51 of the Municipal
Code; and
