REGULAR MEETING
NOVEMBER 18, 1986
1
Mrs. DeClercq stated that it was unfortunate that Ms. Boynton was
given incorrect information regarding use of the building for her
business. She further stated that zoning information is
available to individuals who are considering operating a business
in a certain location and it is a real problem to have this type
of establishment operating in an area zoned "A" residential.
Mr. Vance stated that if Cressy and Everett led Ms. Boynton to
believe that the business could be operated in this location, she
needs to discuss the matter with them. Ms. Boynton stated that
she understands that Cressy and Everett is in the process of
rezoning the location. Mr. Leszczynski advised Ms. Boynton that
she is welcome to reapply when that occurs.
Therefore, upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Mr.
Vance and carried, the massage establishment license application
for Ms. Cynthia Boynton, d/b/a Rose Quest Nutrition Center was
denied due to non-conformance with zoning ordinance requirements.
OPENING AND AWARD OF BIDS - SALE OF ABANDONED VEHICLES
This was the date set for the receiving and opening of sealed
bids for the sale of approximately twelve (12) abandoned vehicles
which have been stored at Steve and Gene's Auto & Truck Salvage
and Repair, 3109 South Gertrude Street, South Bend, Indiana. The
Clerk tendered proofs of publication of Notice in the South Bend
Tribune and the Tri-County News which were found to be
sufficient.
