REGULAR MEETING <br />NOVEMBER 10, 1986 <br />APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATION - OPEN AIR STAND <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the following license application <br />has been received: <br />NAME: <br />BY: <br />ADDRESS: <br />STAND TO BE LOCATED AT: <br />DATES: <br />FOR THE PURPOSE OF: <br />B & L CHRISTMAS TREES <br />Bud Garrett <br />2046 Berkley Place <br />3928 L.W.W. (Brentwood <br />Shopping Center) <br />12/l/86 - 12/21/86 <br />Selling Christmas trees <br />Mr. Leszczynski further advised that favorable recommendations <br />have been received from the Police Department, Department of Code <br />Enforcement, and the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting for the above <br />application. Additionally provided with the application was a <br />letter of permission from the property owner. Upon a motion made <br />by Mr. Vance, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the above <br />license application was approved and referred to the Deputy <br />Controller's office for issuance of a license. <br />APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATION - SECONDHAND DEALER <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the following one (1) secondhand <br />dealers license application has been received: <br />NAME: Cracker Box Collectibles & <br />Consignment Shop <br />BY: Paula L. Thompson <br />ADDRESS: 341 Lincolnway West <br />FOR THE PURPOSE OF SELLING: Used furniture, crafts, glassware <br />Mr. Leszczynski further advised that favorable recommendations <br />have been received from the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, <br />Department of Code Enforcement, Police Department and Fire <br />Department on the above application. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Vance, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the above license <br />application was approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's <br />office for issuance of a license. <br />APPROVE RELEASE OF CONTRACTOR'S BOND <br />Mr. Melvin Humphrey, Engineering Department, recommended that the <br />Contractor's Bond for Jack 0. Scott and Joyce S. Scott be <br />released effective November 10, 1986. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Vance, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the above <br />Contractor's Bond was released. <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq <br />and carried, the following seven (7) traffic control devices were <br />approved: <br />1. REMOVAL OF 30-MINUTE PARKING 6A-6P, REVISED TO <br />1-HOUR PARKING 6A-6P - 110 E. Altgeld. (Requested <br />by Linda Brown, Ladies Apparel Business). <br />2. REMOVAL OF RESIDENTIAL PARKING - 700 N. Lafayette, <br />West side, 100' south of Lamonte Terrace. <br />(Apartments destroyed by fire). <br />3. NEW INSTALLATION, STOP SIGN - On Van Buren @ Portage. <br />("T" intersection). <br />4. NEW INSTALLATION, STOP SIGN - On Van Buren @ Sancome. <br />("T" intersection). <br />1 <br />1 <br />
