REGULAR MEETING NOVEMBER 10. 1986 <br />FRANKLIN_ PEST CONTROL OF MICHIANA, INC. <br />614 W. Calvert Street <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Bid was signed by Robert Ziker, President and C.S. Hansen, <br />Secretary, Non -Collusion Affidavit was in order and a <br />Travelers Express Money Order in the amount of $32.40 <br />was submitted. <br />BID: Pest Control - $648.00/year <br />$ 54.00/mo. <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Vance and <br />carried, the above bids were referred to the Police Department <br />for review and recommendation. <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO MOVE HOUSES - LYKOWSKI CONSTRUCTION. INC. <br />Attorney Donald E. Esmont, 725 St. Joseph Bank Building, South <br />Bend, Indiana, was present and addressed the Board on behalf of <br />his client, Mr. Timothy J. Lykowski, President, Lykowski <br />Construction, Inc., 21707 W. Ireland Road, South Bend, Indiana, <br />who has requested permission to move three (3) houses as follows: <br />FROM TO TENTATIVE DATE <br />1549 Perthway Drive 817 Widener Lane 11/20/86 <br />1507 Perthway Drive 805 Widener Lane 11/26/86 <br />1525 Perthway Drive 21644 Jackson Road 12/4/86 <br />Mr. Esmont advised that these houses were originally acquired by <br />the State of Indiana in conjunction with the construction of the <br />U.S. 20,bypass south of Scottsdale Mall and sold to private <br />owners who have contacted Lykowski Construction to move the <br />houses. Mr. Esmont asked that the Board act favorably on the <br />request submitted. It was noted that the appropriate affidavits <br />from utility companies and the required Certificate of Insurance <br />have been submitted and are in order. Additionally, the Building <br />Department has submitted a favorable recommendation regarding the <br />moves and the Bureau of Traffic & Lighting has reviewed the <br />routes to be utilized for the moves and recommends approval. <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Vance and <br />carried, the request to move three (3) houses as outlined above <br />was approved and the matter referred to the Building Department <br />for the issuance of the appropriate permits. <br />ACCEPT AND APPROVE PLAT OF DEDICATION - PORTAGE WAY ROAD <br />Mr. Joseph J. Pluta, Director, Division of Engineering, submitted <br />to the Board for acceptance a Dedication of some additional <br />right-of-way at the intersection of Portage Way Road and Sugar <br />Maple Lane. He stated that the additional right-of-way is <br />necessary for a safer intersection. Therefore, upon a motion <br />made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the <br />above referred to Plat of Dedication was accepted and approved. <br />APPROVE REQUEST OF SOUTHOLD DANCE THEATER FOR TRAFFIC ASSISTANCE <br />FOR NUTCRACKER CONCERT PERFORMANCES AT MORRIS CIVIC AUDITORIUM - <br />DECEMBER 16-18, 1986 <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting <br />and the Police Department Traffic Division have reviewed the <br />above referred to request submitted to the Board on September 30, <br />1986 and recommend approval. It was noted that reserve parking <br />for buses will be on the south and north sides of 100 West <br />Colfax, the east side of 100 North Michigan and the west side of <br />200 North Main Street. Additionally, holding areas will be the <br />east and west sides of 100-200 North Niles and the north and <br />south sides of 500 East Washington. Upon a motion made by <br />Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the above <br />recommendation was accepted and the request approved. <br />
