It was noted <br />that all vehicles have been stored more than fifteen (15) days, <br />identification checks had been run for auto theft and the owners <br />and lienholders notified. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, <br />seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the above request was <br />approved and a date of October 28, 1986 was established for the <br />receiving and opening of sealed bids. <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR RECEIPT OF BIDS - ONE (1) <br />COMPACT VACUUM STREET SWEEPER WITH ASSORTED ATTACHMENTS FOR THE <br />STREET DEPARTMENT <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. John E. Leszczynski, Director, <br />Public Works, requested that the Board advertise for the receipt <br />of bids for the above referred to equipment. Upon a motion made <br />by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the <br />request was approved. <br />APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATION - OPEN AIR STAND <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the following license application <br />has been received: <br />NAME: McCraven's Super Kid's Park <br />BY: Charles Howell <br />ADDRESS: 1118 North Duey Street <br />STAND TO BE LOCATED AT: 501 E. LaSalle on 10/13/86 <br />and 10/14/86 and also at <br />Eddy & South Bend Avenue on <br />DATES: <br />FOR THE PURPOSE OF: <br />various dates: <br />10/10/86, 10/11/86, <br />10/14/86, 10/16/86, <br />10/18/86, 11/6/86, <br />11/8/86, 11/13/86, <br />11/15/86 <br />10/13/86 <br />10/17/86 <br />11/7/86 <br />11/14/86 and <br />Selling bar-b-que ribs, chicken <br />and sausages <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that favorable recommendations have been <br />received from the Departments which have reviewed the above <br />referred to application. He additionally advised that Mr. Howell <br />has provided a letter of permission from the property owner of <br />501 E. LaSalle. However, a letter of permission from the owner <br />of property at Eddy and South Bend Avenue has not yet been <br />received. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded <br />by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the above license application was <br />approved subject to Mr. Howell providing to the Board a letter of <br />permission from the owner of property at Eddy and South Bend <br />Avenue. <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Vance and <br />carried, the following five (5) traffic control devices were <br />approved: <br />1. NEW INSTALLATION, TEMPORARY HANDICAP TOW -AWAY ZONE <br />100 E. Jefferson, Sherland Building. (Temporary <br />Handicap parking till completion of construction <br />of 100 S. Michigan, 2 spaces). <br />2. REMOVAL OF HANDICAP PARKING TOW -AWAY ZONE - South side <br />of 20th St. adjacent to Riverside Hall (IUSB) driveway/ <br />crosswalk. (Requested by IUSB). <br />3. NEW INSTALLATION, NO PARKING PASSENGER LOADING ZONE - <br />1000 27th Street (Nurser School), East side, Vine to <br />Pleasant. (Requested "by petitions). <br />
