REGULAR MEETING OCTOBER 14, 1986 1 1 �1 3109 South Gertrude Street, South Bend, Indiana. It was noted that all vehicles have been stored more than fifteen (15) days, identification checks had been run for auto theft and the owners and lienholders notified. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the above request was approved and a date of October 28, 1986 was established for the receiving and opening of sealed bids. APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR RECEIPT OF BIDS - ONE (1) COMPACT VACUUM STREET SWEEPER WITH ASSORTED ATTACHMENTS FOR THE STREET DEPARTMENT In a letter to the Board, Mr. John E. Leszczynski, Director, Public Works, requested that the Board advertise for the receipt of bids for the above referred to equipment. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the request was approved. APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATION - OPEN AIR STAND Mr. Leszczynski advised that the following license application has been received: NAME: McCraven's Super Kid's Park BY: Charles Howell ADDRESS: 1118 North Duey Street STAND TO BE LOCATED AT: 501 E. LaSalle on 10/13/86 and 10/14/86 and also at Eddy & South Bend Avenue on DATES: FOR THE PURPOSE OF: various dates: 10/10/86, 10/11/86, 10/14/86, 10/16/86, 10/18/86, 11/6/86, 11/8/86, 11/13/86, 11/15/86 10/13/86 10/17/86 11/7/86 11/14/86 and Selling bar-b-que ribs, chicken and sausages Mr. Leszczynski advised that favorable recommendations have been received from the Departments which have reviewed the above referred to application. He additionally advised that Mr. Howell has provided a letter of permission from the property owner of 501 E. LaSalle. However, a letter of permission from the owner of property at Eddy and South Bend Avenue has not yet been received. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the above license application was approved subject to Mr. Howell providing to the Board a letter of permission from the owner of property at Eddy and South Bend Avenue. APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the following five (5) traffic control devices were approved: 1. NEW INSTALLATION, TEMPORARY HANDICAP TOW -AWAY ZONE 100 E. Jefferson, Sherland Building. (Temporary Handicap parking till completion of construction of 100 S. Michigan, 2 spaces). 2. REMOVAL OF HANDICAP PARKING TOW -AWAY ZONE - South side of 20th St. adjacent to Riverside Hall (IUSB) driveway/ crosswalk. (Requested by IUSB). 3. NEW INSTALLATION, NO PARKING PASSENGER LOADING ZONE - 1000 27th Street (Nurser School), East side, Vine to Pleasant. (Requested "by petitions).
