REGULAR MEETING <br />JULY 15, 1986 <br />UEST OF OUR LADY OF <br />SE CHAPIN STREET FOR <br />FUN FAIR - AUGUST 9, 1986 - REFERRED <br />In a letter to the Board, Ms. Barbara A. Mendola, President, Our <br />Lady of Hungary Home and School Association, 731 West Calvert <br />Street, South Bend, Indiana, advised that the parish fun fair <br />will be held on August 9, 1986, and it requested that Chapin <br />Street, between Calvert and Bruce Street and Bruce Street from <br />Kemble Avenue to the deadend of Bruce Street be closed on August <br />9, 1986 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Barnard and carried, the above <br />request was referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and <br />the Police Department Traffic Division for review and <br />recommendation. <br />FILING OF SURETY BOND FOR SABLE RIDGE SEWER AND WATER PROJECT <br />Mr. Leroy Yoder, for Sable Ridge Ltd., submitted to the Board for <br />filing a Bank Money Order in the amount of $61,204.50 as surety <br />bond for the Sable Ridge Sewer and Water Project. Upon a motion <br />made by Ms. Barnard, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the <br />bond as submitted was accepted for filing. <br />APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATION - SECONDHAND DEALER <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the following secondhand dealers <br />license application has been received: <br />NAME: ANCHOR SALES <br />BY: Howard D. Charles <br />ADDRESS: 1420 L.W.W. <br />FOR THE PURPOSE OF SELLING: Miscellaneous items <br />Ms. Barnard advised that an inspection of the premises at 1420 <br />L.W.W. revealed that there was insufficient off-street parking. <br />However, based on prior use, the premises is "grandfathered" and <br />the parking requirements therefore do not apply. Therefore, upon <br />a motion made by Ms. Barnard, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and <br />carried, the license application as submitted was approved and <br />referred to the Deputy Controller's office for issuance of a <br />license. <br />APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATION - OPEN AIR STAND <br />Mr. Vance advised that the following license application has been <br />received: <br />1. NAME: FISHER BROS. FISHERIES, INC. <br />BY: David P. Fisher <br />ADDRESS: P.O. Box 964, Green Bay, WN <br />STAND TO BE LOCATED AT: 4401 South Michigan <br />DATES: July 11-13, 1986 <br />FOR THE PURPOSE OF: Selling frozen pre -packaged <br />seafood <br />Mr. Leszczynski further advised that favorable recommendations <br />have been received from the Police Department, Department of Code <br />Enforcement, and the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting for the above <br />application. Additionally provided with the application was a <br />letter of permission from the owner of the property at 4401 South <br />Michigan Street. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded <br />by Ms. Barnard and carried, the above license application was <br />approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's office for - <br />issuance of a permit. <br />
