Wayne Street <br />Wayne Street between Esther and <br />Greenlawn Avenues <br />July 4, 1986 <br />4:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. <br />It was noted that all Petitioners will be advised that the <br />barricades necessary to close the streets will be delivered by <br />the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and that a ten foot (10') <br />clear and unobstructed lane at either curb or down the center of <br />the street must be maintained for emergency purposes. <br />DENY REQUEST FOR HANDICAP PARKING SIGN <br />In a letter to the Board, Mrs. Barbara J. Ham, 501 E. Klinger <br />Street, P.O. Box 2333, South Bend, Indiana, (Southmore Mutual <br />Housing Corporation) requested that an handicap parking sign be <br />installed at the parking bay at 501 E. Klinger Street. She <br />stated that the Corporation has approved the installation of the <br />sign. Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Bureau of Traffic and <br />Lighting and the Police Department Traffic Division have reviewed <br />this request, and as it is requested that the sign be erected on <br />private property, recommend that the request be denied. They <br />further advised that Southmore Mutual Housing Corporation is <br />responsible for the installation of such sign. Upon a motion <br />made by Ms. Barnard, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the <br />recommendation was accepted and the request denied. <br />APPROVE REVISED LOCATIONS OF NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF LETTER <br />CARRIERS INTERSECTION SOLICITATIONS - JULY 13, 1986 <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that subsequent to the Board's June 3, <br />1986, approval of the request of the National Association of <br />Letter Carriers to conduct intersection solicitations, a change <br />has been made in the locations to be utilized with the following <br />locations now being requested: <br />1. Miami & Ireland <br />2. Edison & Ironwood <br />3. Jefferson & Eddy <br />Mr. Leszczynski further advised that the Bureau of Traffic and <br />Lighting and the Police Department Traffic Division have reviewed <br />the suggested change and recommend approval of the above referred <br />to three (3) intersections. Therefore, upon a motion made by Ms. <br />Barnard, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the <br />recommendation was accepted and the request approved. <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO CLOSE DRIVEWAY IN FRONT OF THE MORRIS CIVIC <br />AUDITORIUM FOR SPAGHETTI PICNIC STYLE DINNER - JULY 12. 1986 <br />In a Memorandum to the Board, Mr. Brian R.
