REGULAR MEETING JUNE 17. 1986 <br />APPROVE CHANGE IN DATE FOR ST. JOHN BAPTIST CHURCH WALK-A-THON - <br />JUNE 28, 1986 <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that due to inclement weather, the St. <br />Joseph Baptist Church Walk -a -Thou approved by the Board on May <br />20, 1986, and scheduled for June 7, 1986 was cancelled. <br />Therefore, the Church has asked for permission to conduct the <br />walk-a-thon on June 28, 1986 at 10:00 a.m. Mr. Leszczynski <br />further advised that the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the <br />Police Department Traffic Division have reviewed this change in <br />date and time and recommend approval. Therefore, upon a motion <br />made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Barnard and carried, the <br />request was approved. <br />APPROVE REQUEST OF ST. MARY_OF THE ASSUMPTION CHURCH TO CLOSE A <br />PORTION OF ASSUMPTION DRIVE FOR PARISH PICNIC - AUGUST 24. 1986 <br />In a letter to the Board, Reverend F. Thomas Lallak, Pastor, St. <br />Mary of the Assumption Church, 3402 South Locust Road, South <br />Bend, Indiana, requested permission to close a portion of <br />Assumption Drive on Sunday, August 24, 1986, from 12:00 noon <br />until 10:00 p.m. for their 1st Parish Family Picnic. Mr. <br />Leszczynski advised that the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting has <br />reviewed this request and recommends approval. Therefore, upon a <br />motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Barnard and <br />carried, the recommendation was accepted and the request <br />approved. <br />APPROVE REQUEST OF PARKVIEW TAVERN TO CLOSE ADJACENT ALLEY FOR <br />HOG ROAST - JUNE 21, 1986 <br />In a letter to the Board Mr. Rich Swiental, owner, the Parkview <br />Tavern, Inc., 515 East Jefferson Boulevard, South Bend, Indiana, <br />requested permission to close the north/south alley adjacent to <br />the Parkview Tavern on June 21, 1986 from'10:00 a.m. to 12:00 <br />midnight, in conjunction with a hog roast which they are <br />sponsoring.
