197 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />JUNE 10, 1986 <br />NAME: SOUTH BEND PUBLIC LIBRARY - VIRGINIA M. TUTT <br />BRANCH <br />BY: Lawrence Ostrowski <br />ADDRESS: 2223 Miami Street <br />DATES: June 26 & 27, 1986 <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and <br />carried, the applications as submitted were approved and referred <br />to the Deputy Controller's office for issuance of permits. <br />FILING OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS REPORT <br />A report from the Department of Code Enforcement indicating a <br />total of one hundred fifty-two (152) properties cleaned from May <br />30, 1986 to June 5, 1986, was submitted. Upon a motion made by <br />Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the report as <br />submitted was filed. <br />FILING OF HUMANE SOCIETY REPORT - MAY <br />The Humane Society report for the month of May indicated the <br />following matters handled for the City of South Bend: <br />DOGS HANDLED: 251 <br />CATS HANDLED: 260 <br />OTHER ANIMALS HANDLED: 88 <br />BITE CASES HANDLED: 11 <br />COMPLAINTS HANDLED: 148 <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and <br />carried, the above report as submitted was accepted and filed. <br />APPROVE CLAIMS <br />Deputy City Controller Carol M. Sanders submitted Claim Docket <br />No. 012093 through Claim Docket No. 012698 and recommended <br />approval. Upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Mr. <br />Leszczynski and carried, the claims were approved and the report <br />filed. <br />COMMENTS FROM COUNCILMAN JOSEPH SERGE REGARDING TRAFFIC SIGNAL AT <br />BENDIX AND VOORDE DRIVE <br />Councilman Joseph Serge expressed thanks for the installation of <br />traffic signals at the intersection of Bendix and Voorde Drive. <br />He stated that the signals are appreciated as there have been a <br />number of accidents at that intersection. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, upon a <br />motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and <br />carried, the meeting adjourned at 10:02 am. <br />(: Q Ma 0- �P A <br />J n E.
