Leszczynski, Director, <br />Department of Public Works, requested that the Board advertise <br />for the receipt of bids for the above referred to project. Mr. <br />Leszczynski advised that funds for this economic development <br />project were made available through a grant from the Indiana <br />Department of Commerce, with the City acting as supervisor and <br />administrator for the grant. Upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, <br />seconded by Ms. Barnard and carried, the request was approved. <br />APPROVE CHANGE ORDER NO. 4 - RESTORATION 0 <br />BUILDING (FACADE AND SIDEWALK <br />PROJECT <br />E PALAIS ROYALE <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that James E. Childs & Associates, Inc., <br />521 West Colfax, South Bend, Indiana, Architects, and Harry H. <br />Verkler, Contractor, Inc., 645 North Wilber Street, South Bend, <br />Indiana, Contractor for the above referred to project, submitted <br />to the Board Change Order No. 4 indicating an increase of <br />$6,958.00 in the contract amount for a new Contract sum <br />including this Change Order in the amount of $233,982.00. Mr. <br />Leszczynski advised that the Change Order indicates that the <br />additional cost is due to the installation of twelve (12) <br />floodlight fixtures at the south and east facades to be located <br />above lower terra cotta belt course, spaced between upper level <br />windows. Upon a motion made by Ms. Barnard, seconded by Mr. <br />Vance and carried, Change Order No. 4 as submitted was approved. <br />APPROVE AGREEMENTS FOR USE OF PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY FOR FOOT RACES <br />AND SIMILAR EVENTS - SUNBURST MARATHON AND 10K ROAD RACE <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that pursuant to Resolution No. 9-1985, <br />establishing policies and fees for foot races and similar events, <br />adopted by the Board of Public Works on March 4, 1985, the South <br />1 <br />1 <br />
