REGULAR MEETING <br />MARCH 11, 1986 <br />ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION NO. 3-1986 - DISPOSAL OF OBSOLETE VEHICLE <br />(STREET DEPARTMENT) <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Bill Penn, Director, Division of <br />Transportation, advised that City Vehicle No. 235, a 1978 <br />Chevrolet, is no longer in use and unrepairable. Therefore, upon <br />a motion made by Ms. Barnard, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, <br />the following Resolution No. 3-1986 was adopted: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 3-1986 <br />WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Board of Public <br />Works that the following vehicle is no longer needed by the <br />Street Department of the City of South Bend: <br />Veh. No. Year Make Serial # <br />235 1978 Chevrolet CCL338V163742 <br />WHEREAS, Indiana Code 36-1-11-6 permits the disposal of <br />personal property no longer needed or obsolete. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Street Department <br />of the City of South Bend be authorized to dispose of said <br />vehicle pursuant to statute and to remove same from the <br />City Inventory. <br />DATED this llth day of March, 1986. <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />s/Katherine G. Parmerlee, Clerk <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS - GASOLINE <br />AND FUEL OIL <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Phil St. Clair, Manager, Vehicle <br />Maintenance, requested that the Board advertise for the receipt <br />of bids for gasoline and fuel oil to cover 100% of the City's <br />needs for calendar year 1986 as follows: <br />#1 350,000 gallons (more or less) regular gasoline <br />(approximately 300,000 gallons to one location in <br />bulk transport, balance by tank truck delivery) <br />#2 650,000 gallons unleaded gasoline <br />#3 260,000 gallons Diesel Fuel #1 and Diesel Fuel #2 <br />(approximately 50% for heating purposes and 50% <br />for Diesel Fuel <br />#4 <br />200,000 <br />gallons <br />No. 4 Fuel Oil <br />#5 <br />100,000 <br />gallons <br />gasohol <br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Barnard, seconded by Mr. Vance and <br />carried, the request as submitted was approved. <br />ST <br />•:. <br />THE "SWEE <br />" ST.
