REGULAR MEETING NOVEMBER 24, 1987 <br />(c) Per vehicle, on a five-year contract $42.00 per mo. <br />(d) Group rates on a monthly contract <br />5 to 9 vehicles <br />20 to 49 vehicles <br />50 or more vehicles <br />$32.00 per mo. <br />$29.00 per mo. <br />$25.00 per mo. <br />(e) Priority for committing parking spaces within a City <br />operated parking garage shall be given to vehicles with the <br />longest term parking contract and the highest monthly rental <br />rate. Commitment of spaces within a parking garage within a <br />particular rate structure shall be determined based upon (1) the <br />number of parking spaces committed per single billing; (2) the <br />length of time the person has committed spaces within that <br />garage; and (3) the payment experience of the account. <br />Persons entering into long term agreements for parking may <br />be granted an option to renew within the discretion of the Board <br />of Public Works or its designee. <br />SECTION III. Parmerlee, Clerk <br />APPROVE RECOMMENDATION TO REJECT PROPOSALS FOR CONSTRUCTION AND <br />LEASE AND LEASE/PURCHASE FINANCING OF A PARKING GARAGE AT THE <br />CORNER OF WAYNE AND ST. JOSEPH STREETS <br />Ms. Ann Kolata, Executive Director, Department of Economic <br />Development, was present and submitted to the Board a letter from <br />Mr. Jon Hunt, Executive Director, Department of Economic <br />Development, concerning the above referred to matter. <br />Ms. Kolata summarized the letter for the Board. She reminded <br />Board members that on October 6, 1987, the Board received a <br />Proposal from Privatization Ventures (PVN) for construction and <br />lease of a parking garage at the corner of Wayne and St. Joseph <br />Streets in South Bend. At that time, the Board referred this <br />Proposal to the Department of Economic Development for review and <br />recommendation.
