f-A <br />REGULAR MEETING AUGUST 4. 1987 <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO RE -ADVERTISE THE SALE OF CITY -OWNED PROPERTY <br />AT 1034 EAST CEDAR <br />Mr. Leszczynski informed the Board that due to the fact that one <br />(1) sealed bid was received after the published deadline for <br />acceptance of bids for the purchase of the above referred to <br />City -owned property, the sale of this property must be <br />re -advertised in order for the Board to consider the bid <br />received. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, <br />seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the request to advertise <br />for the receipt of bids for the sale of the City -owned property <br />at 1034 East Cedar was approved. <br />APPROVE AND/OR RELEAS <br />Mr. Melvin Humphrey, <br />following Contractors <br />released as follows: <br />E CONTRA <br />D EXCAVATION BONDS <br />Engineering Department, recommended that the <br />and Excavation Bonds be approved and/or, <br />CONTRACTORS <br />- Dujardin Enterprises, Inc. <br />Released <br />Effective: <br />8/23/87 <br />- Larson Danielson Construction <br />Company, Inc. <br />Approved <br />Effective: <br />8/4/87 <br />- Murdock & Sons Construction, <br />Inc. <br />Released <br />Effective: <br />9/13/87 <br />EXCAVATION <br />— James V. Masters <br />Released <br />Effective: <br />8/4/87 <br />- Hamstra Builders, Inc. <br />Approved <br />Effective: <br />8/4/87 <br />- GTE MTO, Inc. <br />Approved <br />Effective: <br />8/4/87 <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, <br />seconded by <br />Mrs. DeClercq and <br />carried, the recommendations were <br />accepted and the above <br />referred <br />to Contractors and Excavation Bonds were approved and or <br />released <br />as outlined above. <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and <br />carried, the following two (2) traffic control devices were <br />approved: <br />1. NEW INSTALLATION, DON'T DRIVE DRUNK - 1300 N. Ironwood. <br />(Requested by C. Welsey Magnuson, D.D.S.) <br />2. REMOVAL OF MICHIANA COLLEGE OF COMMERCE - Various Locations. <br />(Moved from 1530 E. Jackson Rd. to Van-Mele Bldg., <br />Jefferson & Eddy). <br />FILING OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS REPORT <br />A report from the Department of Code Enforcement indicating a <br />total of forty-six (46) properties cleaned from July 27, 1987 <br />thru July 31, 1987, was submitted. Upon a motion made by Mrs. <br />DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the report as <br />submitted was filed. <br />FILING OF HUMANE SOCIETY MONTHLY REPORT - JUNE <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Vance and <br />carried, the monthly report for the month of June as submitted by <br />the Humane Society of St. Joseph County, IN., Inc. was accepted <br />for filing. <br />APPROVE CLAIMS <br />Deputy City Controller Carol M. Sanders submitted Claim Docket <br />No. 12166 through Claim Docket No. 12391 and recommended <br />approval. Upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Mr. <br />Leszczynski and carried, the claims were approved and the report <br />filed. <br />
