4 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />JUNE 30, 1987 <br />The heart monitor -defibrillator is a Life Pak V, manufactured by <br />Physio Control. Chief Taylor recommended that the unit be <br />offered for sale less the batteries and patient cable, with a <br />minimum acceptable bid of one thousand five hundred dollars <br />($1,500.00). <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and <br />carried, the following Resolution No. 15-1987 declaring the above <br />referred to equipment obsolete was adopted: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 15-1987 <br />WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Board of Public <br />Works that the following Fire Department equipment is no longer <br />suitable for the purpose for which it was intended and no longer <br />needed by the City of South Bend: <br />One (1) 1981 Life Pak V Heart Monitor -Defibrillator <br />Monitor Serial #012137 <br />Defibrillator Serial #9945 <br />WHEREAS, Indiana Code 36-1-11-6 permits and establishes <br />procedure for disposal of personal property which is unfit for <br />the purpose for which it was intended which is no longer needed <br />by the City. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works <br />of the City of South Bend that the equipment listed above is not <br />fit for the purpose for which it was intended and is of minimal <br />value. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said equipment be disposed of <br />and removed from the City Inventory. <br />ADOPTED this 30th day of June, 1987. <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />s/John E. Parmerlee, Clerk <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE THE SALE OF EQUIPMENT - FIRE <br />DEPARTMENT <br />Pursuant to the adoption of the above referred to Resolution No. <br />15-1987, declaring obsolete a 1981 Life Pak V heart <br />monitor -defibrillator, manufactured by Physio Control, and <br />pursuant to Chief Taylor's request that the equipment be offered <br />for sale less the batteries and patient cable with a minimum <br />acceptable bid of one thousand five hundred dollars ($1,500.00), <br />Mr. Vance made a motion that the request to offer for sale the <br />above referred to equipment be approved. Mr. Leszczynski <br />seconded the motion and it carried. <br />Assistant Fire Chief Dan Mirocha was present and advised the <br />Board that it was felt that the equipment was worth more than <br />what was offered as a trade-in and therefore the Chief requested <br />that the unit be advertised for sale with an acceptable minimum <br />bid of one thousand five hundred dollars ($1,500.00). <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR RECEIPT OF BIDS - SALE OF <br />ABANDONED VEHICLES <br />Mrs. Patricia E. DeClercq, Director, Department of Code <br />Enforcement, requested permission to advertise the sale of <br />approximately twenty-one (21) abandoned vehicles, which are being <br />stored at Steve & Gene's Auto & Truck Salvage and Repair, 3109 <br />
