Hans, Estimator/Project Manager, Industrial Maintenance and Urethane Foam Division. QUOTATION: - $20,370.00 - $ 2.75 per square ft. to replace deteriorated wood decking $ 0.68 per square ft. to replace deteriorated insulation Includes ten year written roofing guarantee (labor and material), which includes free annual inspections and written reports to the owner. Assistant Fire Chief Daniel J. Mirocha advised the Board that invitations to provide quotations were sent to All Weather Exteriors, South Bend Roofing, Slatile Roofing and Midland Engineering. Upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the above quotations were referred to the Fire Department for review and recommendation. PUBLIC HEARING AND FAVORABLE RECOMMENDATION - ALLEY VACATION: 1ST N/S ALLEY W. OF IRONWOOD DRIVE RUNNING SO. FROM PLEASANT TO THE RIVER Mr. Leszczynski advised that this was the date set for the Board's Public Hearing on a proposed alley vacation described as follows: The 1st north/south alley west of Ironwood Drive running South from Pleasant Street to the St. Joseph River for a distance of 136 feet more or less. It was noted that this Public Hearing is being held in order for the Board to submit a recommendation to the Common Council concerning the Vacation Petition filed by Ms. Mary W. Shafer, 2108 Pleasant Street, South Bend, Indiana. It was further noted that pursuant to South Bend Municipal Code Section 18-53.8, owners whose property abut the proposed alley to be vacated were notified of the Board's Public Hearing date. Mr. Jeff Reece, Right -Of -Way Agent for Indiana and Michigan Electric Company, 2921 Lathrop Street, South Bend, Indiana, was present and addressed the Board. Mr. Reece advised that the alley which Mrs. Shafer desires to vacate contains a major tie line between Indiana and Michigan's east station and the Ireland station and is a transfer station that is used during storms. Mr. Reece stated that he and Senior Technician Dennis Foust, who was also present, mutually agree that Indiana and Michigan Electric has no objection to the vacation of the west four (4) feet or the entire length of the alley with the understanding that I&M does not want a building erected on the east ten (10) feet of the alley as they need that portion for access. 1 1
