REGULAR MEETING MAY 5, 1987 p.m. for a family reunion. Ms. Austin stated that the block in question is occupied by six (6) houses, one being empty and four (4) occupied by members of the Austin family. Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the request was referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Police Department Traffic Division for review and recommendation. APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATIONS - SECONDHAND DEALERS Mr. Leszczynski advised that the following three (3) secondhand dealers license applications have been received: NAME: BY: ADDRESS: FOR THE PURPOSE OF SELLING NAME: BY: ADDRESS: FOR THE PURPOSE OF SELLING NAME: BY: ADDRESS: FOR THE PURPOSE OF SELLING: Sample Simon Lawrence A. Widman 413 East Sample Street New and Used Merchandise Antique World Mary Ann Melching 1122 Mishawaka Avenue Used and Antique furniture Ken's Discount Sales Kenneth Parritt 2802 West Western Avenue General Merchandise Mr. Leszczynski further advised that favorable recommendations have been received from the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, Department of Code Enforcement, Police Department and Fire Department on the above applications. Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the above license applications were approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's office for issuance of licenses. RUBBISH AND GARBAGE LICENSE APPLICATION TABLED FOR ONE (1) WEEK AND REFERRED TO THE DEPARTMENT OF CODE ENFORCEMENT FOR REVIEW Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the Rubbish and Garage Removal license application of Michael Clark, 1146 West Thomas Street, South Bend, Indiana, was tabled for one (1) week and referred to the Department of Code Enforcement for review. APPROVE AND RELEASE EXCAVATION BONDS Mr. Melvin Humphrey, Engineering Department, recommended that the Excavation Bond for 0. J. Shoemaker, Inc. be released effective May 5, 1987 and the Excavation Bond for Knew Excavating be approved retroactive to May 1, 1987. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the recommendations were accepted and the above bonds released and/or approved. FILING OF CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the Certificate of Insurance for Kaser-Spraker Construction, Inc., P.O. Box 3605, South Bend, Indiana, was accepted and filed. FILING OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS REPORT A report from the Department of Code Enforcement indicating a total of seventy-one (71) properties cleaned from April 27, 1987 thru May 1, 1987, was submitted. Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the report as submitted was filed.
