REGULAR MEETING APRIL 21, 1987 seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the above request was approved and a date of May 5, 1987 was established for the receiving and opening of sealed bids. APPROVE REQUEST TO CLOSE 900 BLOCK OF NAPOLEON STREET FOR BROWNIE GIRL SCOUTS BICYCLE CLINIC-- MAY 9, 1987 Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Police Department Traffic Division have reviewed the request submitted to the Board on April 14, 1987, to close Napoleon Street between Eddy and Notre Dame Avenue on May 9, 1987. It is the recommendation of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Police Department Traffic Division that the request be approved except that Napoleon Street be closed from Francis Street to Notre Dame. Also, twelve (12) cones may be picked -up by the Petitioner at the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the recommendation was accepted and the request approved. APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the following five (5) traffic control devices were approved: 1. NEW INSTALLATION, STOP SIGN - On Brookfield at Dunham. ("T" Intersection). 2. NEW INSTALLATION, STOP SIGN - On Dale at Broadway. ("T" Intersection). 3. NEW INSTALLATION, STOP SIGN - On Virginia at Broadway. ("T" Intersection). 4. NEW INSTALLATION, STOP SIGN - On Pershing at Olive. ("T" Intersection). 5. NEW INSTALLATION, STOP SIGN - On St. Joseph at Vincent. ("T" Intersection) . APPROVE CONTRACTOR'S BOND Mr. Melvin Humphrey, Engineering Department, recommended that the Contractor's Bond for H.G. Christman Construction Co., Inc. be approved effective April 21, 1987. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the above Contractor's Bond was approved. FILING OF HUMANE SOCIETY MONTHLY REPORTS - FEBRUARY & MARCH Mrs. DeClercq reminded Board members that on March 17, 1987, she requested that the February Humane Society report as submitted be tabled at that time as the Department of Code Enforcement was to be meeting with the Humane Society regarding a method of reporting to reflect animal control services provided per the terms of the Contract which the City entered into with the Humane Society. She stated that the City and the Humane Society will be meeting one more time regarding this matter and it is anticipated that they will have the report in final form soon. She therefore, made a motion recommending that the February and March reports be filed at this time as submitted. Mr. Vance seconded the motion and the reports were filed.
