102 <br />REGULAR MEETING APRIL 7, 1987 <br />Mr. Michael P. Meeks, Director, Division of Engineering, advised <br />that school buses will park in the parking lot located downtown <br />known as the "Shoppers Free Lot." Additionally, the "holding <br />areas" for buses will be as follows: <br />- East and West side of Niles from Washington to Colfax. <br />- West side of Niles from Colfax to LaSalle. <br />- North and South side of Washington from Niles to Hill. <br />These streets will be posted as "No Parking," 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 <br />p.m. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq <br />and carried, the recommendation was accepted and the request <br />approved. <br />REQUEST TO CONDUCT ANNUAL ST. ADALBERT/CORVILLA RUN - JULY 12. <br />1987 - REFERRED <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Chris Borkowski, as Director of <br />this years St. Adalbert/Corvilla Run, requested permission to <br />conduct the annual footrace/fundraiser on Sunday, July 12, 1987, <br />beginning at 6:00 p.m. Mr. Borkowski submitted with the request <br />a one (1) mile and five (5) mile race routes as utilized in the <br />past. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. <br />DeClercq and carried, the request was referred to the Bureau of <br />Traffic and Lighting and Police Department Traffic Division for <br />review and recommendation. <br />APPROVE CONTRACTOR'S BOND <br />Mr. Melvin Humphrey, Engineering Department, recommended that the <br />Contractor's Bond for Tarne Mortakis d/b/a Custom Concrete be <br />approved retroactive to March 31, 1987. Upon a motion made by <br />Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the above <br />Contractor's Bond was approved. <br />APPROVE HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMIT <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq <br />and carried, the following one (1) handicapped parking permit <br />application was approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's <br />office for issuance of a permit: <br />1. Johnnie Harris <br />1126 Chalfant, S.B. <br />FILING OF NEW TAXI CAB RATES - ALLIED CAB COMPANY <br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that Mr. Walter Jones, Allied Cab Company, <br />1608 North Sheridan, South Bend, Indiana, has advised the Board <br />of a rate change with the new rates to be charged by the Allied <br />Cab Company as follows: <br />Flag Drop - $2.00 <br />Mileage - $1.20/mile <br />Waiting Time - $15.00/hour <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq <br />and carried, the rates as submitted were accepted for filing. <br />FILING OF CERTIFICATES OF INSURANCE <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and <br />carried, Certificates of Insurance for the following were <br />accepted and filed: <br />Delta Star Electric, Inc. <br />1125 South Walnut Street <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />
