93 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />MARCH 31-, 1987 <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and <br />carried, the Agreement as submitted was approved. <br />APPROVE CHANGE ORDER NOS. 4 & 5 - SKYWALK FROM MARRIOTT HOTEL TO <br />CENTURY CENTER PROJECT <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that Cole Associates, Inc., 2211 East <br />Jefferson Boulevard, South Bend, Indiana and Wright Construction <br />Corporation, P.O. Box 1306, Elkhart, Indiana, have submitted <br />Change Order Nos. 4 & 5 in regards to the above referred to <br />project. <br />Mr. Leszczynski further advised that Change Order No. 4 indicates <br />an increase of $27,428.00 primarily for the cost of additional <br />piling required to support the existing retaining wall at the <br />Marriott Hotel. Additionally, Change Order No. 5 indicates an <br />increase of $2,457.00 for the cost of painting the underside of <br />the exterior plaster suffit and revising sprinkler piping to <br />install four (4) flush sprinkler heads in the lower vestibule at <br />Century Center. As a result of these two (2) Change Orders, the <br />new Contract amount is $983,644.00. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and <br />carried, the Change Orders as submitted were approved. <br />APPROVE PROJECT COMPLETION AFFIDAVIT - SABLE RIDGE <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that H. DeWulf Mechanical Contractors, <br />Inc., 58600 Executive Drive, Mishawaka, Indiana, has submitted a <br />Project Completion Affidavit for Sable Ridge Sub -Division (Phase <br />II). Mr. Leszczynski further advised that this project, which <br />entails the installation of water and sewer mains for the above <br />named Development, is now completed. Additionally submitted with <br />the Project Completion Affidavit was the appropriate three-year <br />Maintenance Bond. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mrs. <br />DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the Project <br />Completion Affidavit as submitted was approved and executed and <br />the Maintenance Bond was filed. <br />ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 6-1987 - DISPOSAL OF OBSOLETE ITEMS <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and <br />carried, following Resolution No. 6-1987 was adopted: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 6-1987 <br />WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the Board of Public <br />Works that the items listed on the attached Exhibit A are <br />salvageable materials located in the Studebaker National Museum <br />warehouse facility at 520 South Lafayette Boulevard, South Bend; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, these materials are no longer suitable for the <br />purpose for which they were intended and no longer needed; and <br />WHEREAS, Indiana Code 36-1-11-6 permits and establishes <br />procedure for disposal of personal property which is unfit for <br />the purpose for which it was intended which is no longer needed. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works <br />of the City of South Bend that the materials listed on Exhibit A <br />are not fit for the purpose for which they were intended. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said materials be advertised for <br />sale and disposed of accordingly. <br />
