mm <br />REGULAR MEETING MARCH 24, 1987 <br />Public Works on behalf of the Economic Development Department is <br />for calendar year 1987 and is in the amount of $35,000.00. She <br />stated that this Agreement is the same as approved in prior <br />years and provides for services such as planning, research and , <br />project monitoring. Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, <br />seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the Agreement as <br />submitted was approved. <br />ACCEPT AND APPROVE SANITARY SEWER AND STORM DRAINAGE EASEMENTS - <br />AIRPORT INDUSTRIAL PARK, PHASE III <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that Clyde E. Williams & Associates has <br />submitted sanitary sewer and storm drainage easements for the <br />Airport Industrial Park Phase III - Block II. Upon a motion <br />made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, <br />the Easements as submitted were accepted and approved. <br />APPROVE REQUEST OF LYKOWSKI CONSTRUCTION TO MOVE HOUSE FROM 2021 <br />L.W.W., MISHAWAKA, TO N/E CORNER OF 29TH AND NORTHSIDE BLVD. <br />Mr. Jack A. Mathews, Building Commissioner, advised the Board <br />that Lykowski Construction, Inc., 21707 West Ireland Road, South <br />Bend, Indiana, has requested permission to relocate a house from <br />2021 L.W.W., Mishawaka, Indiana to the northeast corner of 29th <br />Street and Northside Boulevard in South Bend. <br />Mr. Mathews further advised that the route as submitted has been <br />recommended for approval by the City Engineering Department, the <br />utility requirements have been met and the appropriate <br />Certificate of Insurance is in order and on file with the Board <br />of Public Works. He, therefore, recommended Board approval of <br />this request. <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski <br />and carried, the recommendation was accepted and the request <br />approved. <br />,ST OF VFW POST 1167 TO CONDUCT POPPY DAY SALES - <br />MAY 8-9, 1987 <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. George Grenert, Quartermaster, <br />Veterans of Foreign Wars of the U.S., South Bend Post No. 1167, <br />1047 L.W.E., South Bend, Indiana, requested permission to <br />conduct their annual Poppy Day Sales on sidewalks throughout the <br />City on Friday, May 8th and Saturday May 9th. He stated that <br />the means of sales will be canister sales of poppies and the <br />funds collected will be used for welfare and relief work among <br />widows and orphans of Veterans. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the request <br />was approved. <br />ST FOR DESIGNATED HANDICAPPED PARKING SPACE AT 2 <br />- REFERRED <br />In a letter to the Board, Ms. Rosie Bell Bryant, 2415 Bond <br />Avenue, South Bend, Indiana, requested that the parking space in <br />front of her home be designated as a handicapped parking space. <br />A letter from Ms. Bryant's doctor indicates that she is severely <br />limited and is ambulatory only in a wheelchair because of her <br />condition. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by <br />Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the request was referred to the <br />Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Police Department Traffic <br />Division for review and recommendation. <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq <br />and carried, the following seven (7) traffic control devices <br />were approved: <br />1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />
