REGULAR MEETING FEBRUARY 24. 1987 planned concerts for third and sixth graders of South Bend and surrounding area schools with two (2) performances for the third graders planned for Thursday, April 30, 1987, and one (1) performance for the sixth graders on May 1, 1987. Ms. Long advised that she has talked to Mr. Chris Davey, President of the Center City Associates and he informed her that she had permission to use the Shoppers Park Free Lot for parking the buses on the two (2) concert days. This lot will accommodate the estimated forty (40) buses which will be coming to each performance. Ms. Long stated that she will also need space to be used as a holding pattern for the in -coming buses on Thursday only. This area should be able to hold approximately forty (40) buses and should be within a few minutes of the Morris Civic Auditorium. Last year's holding pattern which was in the East Bank area on Washington and Niles Streets worked well. Finally, Ms. Long requested assistance from the Police Department and the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting on the concert dates. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the above request was referred to Deputy Mayor Craig Hartzer, the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Police Department Traffic Division for review and recommendation. APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATIONS - RUBBISH AND GARBAGE Mr. Leszczynski advised that the following seven (7) Rubbish and Garbage license applications have been received: 1. Superior Waste Systems 20645 Ireland Rd., S.B. 2. Jessie J. Love 309 S. Iowa St., S.B. 3. Sylvester Mullins 115 S. Cherry St., S.B. 4. Grayson R. Warren, Jr. 1505 N. College, S.B. 5. Eddie Lee Ivory 1302 Linden Ave., S.B. 6. B & B Rubbish Removal, Inc. 55400 Pine Rd., S.B. 7. Elson Shelton 922 N. Olive, S.B. It was noted that inspections of the trucks to be used had been conducted by the Solid Waste Bureau and all applicants were found to be in compliance. Upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the above license applications were approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's office for issuance of licenses.
