REGULAR MEETING FEBRUARY 24. 1987 <br />planned concerts for third and sixth graders of South Bend and <br />surrounding area schools with two (2) performances for the third <br />graders planned for Thursday, April 30, 1987, and one (1) <br />performance for the sixth graders on May 1, 1987. <br />Ms. Long advised that she has talked to Mr. Chris Davey, <br />President of the Center City Associates and he informed her that <br />she had permission to use the Shoppers Park Free Lot for parking <br />the buses on the two (2) concert days. This lot will accommodate <br />the estimated forty (40) buses which will be coming to each <br />performance. <br />Ms. Long stated that she will also need space to be used as a <br />holding pattern for the in -coming buses on Thursday only. This <br />area should be able to hold approximately forty (40) buses and <br />should be within a few minutes of the Morris Civic Auditorium. <br />Last year's holding pattern which was in the East Bank area on <br />Washington and Niles Streets worked well. <br />Finally, Ms. Long requested assistance from the Police Department <br />and the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting on the concert dates. <br />Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by <br />Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the above request was referred to <br />Deputy Mayor Craig Hartzer, the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting <br />and the Police Department Traffic Division for review and <br />recommendation. <br />APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATIONS - RUBBISH AND GARBAGE <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the following seven (7) Rubbish and <br />Garbage license applications have been received: <br />1. Superior Waste Systems <br />20645 Ireland Rd., S.B. <br />2. Jessie J. Love <br />309 S. Iowa St., S.B. <br />3. Sylvester Mullins <br />115 S. Cherry St., S.B. <br />4. Grayson R. Warren, Jr. <br />1505 N. College, S.B. <br />5. Eddie Lee Ivory <br />1302 Linden Ave., S.B. <br />6. B & B Rubbish Removal, Inc. <br />55400 Pine Rd., S.B. <br />7. Elson Shelton <br />922 N. Olive, S.B. <br />It was noted that inspections of the trucks to be used had been <br />conducted by the Solid Waste Bureau and all applicants were found <br />to be in compliance. Upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded <br />by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the above license applications <br />were approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's office for <br />issuance of licenses. <br />APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATIONS - PUBLIC PARKING FACILITY <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and <br />carried the following applications were approved and referred to <br />the Deputy Controller's office for issuance of licenses: <br />
