`2 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />FEBRUARY 24, 1987 <br />APPROVE CHANGE ORDERS NO. 1 (FINAL) AND PROJECT COMPLETION <br />AFFIDAVITS: <br />1. STATE ROAD 23 AND LOCUST (OLIVE) PROJECT <br />2. L.W.W. CURB IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the following Contractors have <br />submitted Change Orders No. 1 (Final) and Project Completion <br />Affidavits for the following projects: <br />1. STATE ROAD 23 AND LOCUST (OLIVE) PROJECT <br />CONTRACTOR: Rieth-Riley Construction Company, Inc. <br />P.O. Box 1775, <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />DECREASE: $6,186.20 <br />NEW CONTRACT AMOUNT INCLUDING C.O.: $113,683.90 <br />2. L.W.W. CURB IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT <br />CONTRACTOR: Kaser-Spraker Construction <br />25487 West State Road 2 <br />P.O. Box 3605 <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />DECREASE: $9,911.00 <br />NEW CONTRACT AMOUNT INCLUDING C.O.: $59,529.00 <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq <br />and carried, Change Order No. 1 (Final) and the Project <br />Completion Affidavit indicating the new final cost for the State <br />Road 23 and Locust Project was approved and the appropriate <br />three-year Maintenance Bond was accepted for filing. <br />Additionally, upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Mr. <br />Leszczynski and carried,, Change Order No. 1 (Final) and the <br />Project Completion Affidavit indicating the new final cost for <br />the L.W.W. Curb Improvements Project was approved and the <br />appropriate three-year Maintenance Bond accepted for filing. <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR RECEIPT OF BIDS - CITY OF SOUTH <br />BEND PRINT SHOP DUPLICATING EQUIPMENT <br />In a letter to the Board, Michael L. Vance, Director, <br />Administration and Finance, submitted specifications for the <br />replacement of the duplicating equipment in the City's Print Shop <br />located on the 12th Floor of the County -City Building. <br />Mr. Vance advised that the current equipment is eleven (11) years <br />old and is in such condition that the City is no longer able to <br />cover it with a maintenance contract. He advised that Mr. Don <br />Slatton, the Printing Manager, has been doing the maintenance on <br />the equipment. It would therefore be the intention of the City <br />to trade-in existing older pieces of equipment in the shop which <br />the new equipment will replace. <br />Therefore, Mr. Vance requested that the Board advertise for the <br />receipt of bids for duplicating equipment for the City of South <br />Bend Print Shop. Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded <br />by Mr. Vance and carried, the above request was approved. <br />APPROVE REQUEST <br />ABANDONED VEHICI <br />) ADVERTISE FOR RECEIPT OF BIDS - SALE OF <br />Mrs. Patricia E. DeClercq, Director, Department of Code <br />Enforcement, requested permission to advertise for the sale of <br />approximately eleven (11) abandoned vehicles, which are being <br />stored at Steve & Gene's Auto & Truck Salvage and Repair, 3109 <br />South Gertrude Street, South Bend, Indiana. It was noted that <br />all vehicles have been stored more than fifteen (15) days, <br />identification checks had been run for auto theft and the owners <br />and lienholders notified. Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, <br />seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the above request was approved <br />and a date of March 10, 1987 was established for the receiving <br />and opening of sealed bids. <br />I <br />1 <br />1 <br />
