o
REGULAR MEETING
FEBRUARY 24, 1987
In response to Mrs. DeClercq's inquiry, Mr. Quimby stated that
the suspensions were for the issuance of thirty-five (35) parking
tickets that were issued on a license plate he did not own and
for failure to appear in regards to a ticket received which could
not have been his as he had a broken leg at the time that
particular traffic related ticket was issued. He stated that the
Judge dropped this charge. He reiterated that he was never
notified that his license was suspended and had been driving a
cab the entire period except when he had a broken leg.
Mr. Leszczynski stated that considering that Mr. Quimby has had a
decent driving record for the past six (6) years, he would make a
motion that the license application be approved. Mrs. DeClercq
seconded the motion and it carried. Mr. Vance abstained from
voting on this matter. Mr. Leszczynski further advised Mr.
Quimby that any tickets received, even a parking ticket, will
result in the revocation of the license.
OPENING AND AWARD OF BIDS - SALE OF ABANDONED VEHICLES
This was the date set for the receiving and opening of sealed
bids for the sale of approximately twenty-three (23) abandoned
vehicles which have been stored at Steve and Gene's Auto & Truck
Salvage and Repair, 3109 South Gertrude Street, South Bend,
Indiana. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of Notice in
the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News which were found
to be sufficient.
