REGULAR MEETING JANUARY 27. 1987 <br />motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and <br />carried, the above request was referred to the Bureau of Traffic <br />and Lighting and the Police Department Traffic Division for <br />review and recommendation. <br />APPROVE REQUEST FOR RESTRICTED RESIDENTIAL PARKING - 600-800 <br />BLOCKS OF TWYCKENHAM DRIVE <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that pursuant to the request submitted to <br />the Board on November 25, 1986, by Ms. Linda Laffin, 709 South <br />Twyckenham Drive, the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting conducted a <br />Residential Parking study for the above referred to location. <br />The result of the study revealed that between the hours of 8:00 <br />a.m. to 3:00 p.m., there was an average of twenty-six (26) <br />vehicles in thirty-four (34) spaces for a seventy-six per cent <br />(76%) occupancy. Additionally, during this time, there was an <br />average of twenty-six (26) non-residents or seventy-six per cent <br />(76%). <br />Therefore, as ordinance requirements were met for a Restricted <br />Residential Parking Zone, it is being recommended that the above <br />referred to location be designated as a Restricted Residential <br />Parking Zone. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and <br />carried, the recommendation was accepted and the request <br />approved. <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICE <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and <br />carried, the following one (1) traffic control device was <br />approved: <br />1. NEW INSTALLATION, RESIDENTIAL PARKING, 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM - <br />600-700-800 Block South Twyckenham (Petition by <br />Residents). <br />APPROVE RELEASE OF EXCAVATION BOND <br />Mr. Melvin Humphrey, Engineering Department, recommended that the <br />Excavation Bond for John Phillips Company be released effective <br />January 27, 1987. Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded <br />by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the above referred to Excavation <br />Bond was released. <br />FILING OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS REPORT <br />A report from the Department of Code Enforcement indicating a <br />total of twenty (20) properties cleaned from January 20, 1987 to <br />January 23, 1987, was submitted. Upon a motion made by Mrs. <br />DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the report as <br />submitted was filed. <br />APPROVE CLAIMS <br />Mr. John W. Ferguson, Executive Director, St. Joseph County Job <br />Training Program submitted a list containing eighty-eight (88) <br />claims and recommended approval. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Vance, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the list as <br />submitted was approved. <br />Additionally, Deputy City Controller Carol M. Sanders submitted <br />Claim Docket Nos 3376 to 3670 and recommended approval. Upon a <br />motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and <br />carried, the claims were approved and the report as submitted was <br />filed. <br />
