Result Then parking study was conducted at varying times over a four -day period in an attempt to get the best, most widely varied data. It was found that at the most, there were only 4 residents' vehicles parked on the street during the time of the study (as shown in the green highlighted cells in the tables on the following pages), which when added to the non-resident vehicles, accounted for less than half of the total available spaces. The percentage of non-residents' vehicles surpassed the 25% threshold 6 times during the multi -day study, but it needs to be in combination with the total number of parking spaces utilized, to meet the ordinance requirements. While the South Michigan Street and East Donald Street intersection does get quite congested it appears that the Octapharma clients park either in the parking lot on the south side or along either the east side of South Michigan Street or the south side of East Donald Street, next to the business. Recommendation Since the requirements of the ordinance are not met it is recommended that the request for a Residential Parking Zone be denied.
