REGULAR MEETING <br />AUGUST 1, 1988 <br />1 <br />APPROVE IRREVOCABLE LETTER OF CREDIT <br />- TOLL ROAD <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that Mr. Michael P. Meeks, Director, <br />Division of Engineering, submitted to the Board Irrevocable <br />Letter of Credit No. 551 for public improvements (sewer and water <br />lines) in the Toll Road Industrial Park. Irrevocable Letter of <br />Credit No. 551, issued by the Valley American Bank, P.O. Box 328, <br />South Bend, Indiana, is in the amount of $16,000.00 for the <br />account of Industrial Foundation, Inc., Suite 504, 205 W. <br />Jefferson, South Bend, Indiana. The Letter of Credit further <br />indicates that drafts must be accompanied by the City's <br />certification that Industrial Foundation, Inc. has failed to <br />complete the construction of sewer and water extension in the <br />Toll Road Industrial Park for Section Four, Lots 6,7,8 and 13 and <br />that a Certification of Substantial Completion has not been <br />issued prior to December 31, 1988. <br />Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by <br />Mrs. DeClercq and carried, Irrevocable Letter of Credit No. 551 <br />was -accepted and approved. <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICE <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq <br />and carried, the following one (1) traffic control device was <br />approved: <br />1. REMOVAL OF NO PARKING, REVISED TO 2 HR. PARKING <br />6A TO 6P - 509 W. Washington. (Business). <br />FILING OF APPLICATIONS FOR BIDDER QUALIFICATION <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq <br />and carried, the following applications for bidder qualification <br />were accepted for filing and referred to the Affirmative Action <br />Review Committee for review and recommendation: <br />1. Audio Services Company, Inc. <br />A$C Recording/Pro Sound <br />511 East Colfax Avenue <br />South Bend, IN <br />2. Indiana Electronics Corporation <br />51357 Bittersweet Road <br />P.O. Box 178 <br />Granger, Indiana <br />3. Don's Gas & Car Wash, Inc. <br />1836 South Michigan Street <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Mr. Leszczyns <br />bureaus have <br />the Board on <br />upon a motion <br />and carried, <br />approved. <br />ki advised that the appropriate Departments and <br />reviewed the above referred to request submitted <br />July 18, 1988 and recommend approval. Therefore, <br />made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Ms. Humphreys <br />the recommendations were accepted and the request <br />to <br />T TO CLOSE THE 800-900 BLOCKS OF VICTORIA, BETWEEN <br />FOR NEIGHBORHOOD BLOCK PARTY - AUGUST 6. 1988 <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting <br />and the Police Department Traffic Division have reviewed the <br />above referred to request submitted to the Board on July 18, 1988 <br />and recommend approval. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mrs. <br />DeClercq, seconded by Ms. Humphreys and carried, the recommenda- <br />tion was accepted and the request approved. <br />
