REGULAR MEETING AUGUST 1, 1988 1 APPROVE IRREVOCABLE LETTER OF CREDIT - TOLL ROAD Mr. Leszczynski advised that Mr. Michael P. Meeks, Director, Division of Engineering, submitted to the Board Irrevocable Letter of Credit No. 551 for public improvements (sewer and water lines) in the Toll Road Industrial Park. Irrevocable Letter of Credit No. 551, issued by the Valley American Bank, P.O. Box 328, South Bend, Indiana, is in the amount of $16,000.00 for the account of Industrial Foundation, Inc., Suite 504, 205 W. Jefferson, South Bend, Indiana. The Letter of Credit further indicates that drafts must be accompanied by the City's certification that Industrial Foundation, Inc. has failed to complete the construction of sewer and water extension in the Toll Road Industrial Park for Section Four, Lots 6,7,8 and 13 and that a Certification of Substantial Completion has not been issued prior to December 31, 1988. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, Irrevocable Letter of Credit No. 551 was -accepted and approved. APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICE Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the following one (1) traffic control device was approved: 1. REMOVAL OF NO PARKING, REVISED TO 2 HR. PARKING 6A TO 6P - 509 W. Washington. (Business). FILING OF APPLICATIONS FOR BIDDER QUALIFICATION Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the following applications for bidder qualification were accepted for filing and referred to the Affirmative Action Review Committee for review and recommendation: 1. Audio Services Company, Inc. A$C Recording/Pro Sound 511 East Colfax Avenue South Bend, IN 2. Indiana Electronics Corporation 51357 Bittersweet Road P.O. Box 178 Granger, Indiana 3. Don's Gas & Car Wash, Inc. 1836 South Michigan Street South Bend, Indiana Mr. Leszczyns bureaus have the Board on upon a motion and carried, approved. ki advised that the appropriate Departments and reviewed the above referred to request submitted July 18, 1988 and recommend approval. Therefore, made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Ms. Humphreys the recommendations were accepted and the request to T TO CLOSE THE 800-900 BLOCKS OF VICTORIA, BETWEEN FOR NEIGHBORHOOD BLOCK PARTY - AUGUST 6. 1988 Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Police Department Traffic Division have reviewed the above referred to request submitted to the Board on July 18, 1988 and recommend approval. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Ms. Humphreys and carried, the recommenda- tion was accepted and the request approved.
