REGULAR MEETING JULY 11, 1988 <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq <br />and carried, the Letter of Credit as submitted was approved. <br />DENY REQUEST OF YELLOW CAB COMPANY FOR TAXICAB STAND ON THE NORTH <br />SIDE OF THE 200 BLOCK OF WEST WASHINGTON STREET NEAR THE ENTRANCE <br />OF THE HOLIDAY INN <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting <br />and the Police Department Traffic Division have reviewed the <br />above referred to request submitted to the Board on June 20, 1988 <br />and recommend denial. Denial is based on the fact that the area <br />desired for the taxicab stand is already heavily congested. <br />Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by <br />Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the recommendation was accepted and <br />the request denied. <br />FILING OF APPLICATION FOR BIDDER QUALIFICATION <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq <br />and carried, the following application for bidder qualification <br />was accepted for filing and referred to the Affirmative Action <br />Review Committee for review and recommendation: <br />1. Bonded Chemicals Corporation <br />200 South Jackson Street <br />P.O. Box 1870 <br />Lima, Ohio <br />APPROVE SIDEWALK SALE PERMIT APPLICATIONS <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski <br />and carried, the following Sidewalk Sale Permit applications were <br />approved: <br />1. NAME: LITTLE BLESSINGS BOUTIQUE <br />ADDRESS: 2123 Miami Street <br />BY: Janet Koucouthakis, Manager <br />DATES: July 21, 22, 23, 1988 <br />2. NAME: <br />KIT AND COMPANY <br />ADDRESS: <br />2122 Miami Street <br />BY: <br />Kit Bajdek <br />DATES: <br />July 21, 22, 23, 1988 <br />3. NAME: <br />MS SHOPPE, INC. <br />ADDRESS: <br />113 West Colfax <br />BY: <br />Lillian Dawson <br />DATES: <br />July 14-15, 1988 <br />4. Asst. <br />DATES: August 3-4, 1988 <br />APPROVE RUBBISH AND GARBAGE REMOVAL LICENSE APPLICATION <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the following one (1) Rubbish and <br />Garbage Removal license application has been received: <br />1. City of South Bend <br />3113 Riverside Dr., S.B. <br />It was noted that inspections of the trucks to be used had been <br />conducted by the Solid Waste Bureau and were found to be in <br />compliance. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by <br />Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the above license application was <br />approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's office for <br />issuance of a license. <br />1 <br />
