REGULAR MEETING <br />JUNE 6, 1988 <br />Division and they recommend approval at this time. Therefore, <br />upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Ms. Humphreys <br />and carried, the recommendation was accepted and the request <br />approved. <br />APPROVE REQUEST OF TRANSPO TO INSTALL SHELTERS AT VARIOUS <br />LOCATIONS THROUGHOUT THE CITY <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the appropriate City departments and <br />bureaus have now reviewed the above referred to request submitted <br />to the Board on October 20, 1987 and recommend approval. It was <br />noted that TRANSPO intends to install five (5) shelters per <br />diagrams submitted for installation of the shelters at various <br />locations as follows: <br />1. Mishawaka Avenue near 23rd Street. <br />2. Lincolnway East near Karl King Apartments. <br />3. Sample Street near the Welfare Office. <br />4. Western Avenue at Lombardy Drive. <br />5. Western Avenue near high rise apartments. <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the front face of the shelter has to <br />be installed at least five feet (5') from the back of the curb <br />and the sidewalk should not be obstructed. <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Ms. Humphreys <br />and carried, the recommendation was accepted and the request <br />approved. <br />APPROVE ETHNIC FESTIVAL BOOTH APPLICATIONS <br />Ms. Katherine Humphreys, Director, Administration and Finance, <br />submitted to the Board five (5) additional Ethnic Festival booth <br />applications which she recommended for approval. <br />Therefore, upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Mr. <br />Leszczynski and carried, the following applications were <br />approved: <br />CRAFT BOOTHS: (2) <br />Downtown Pack & Ship <br />Mela Berger (Meza Artwear) <br />FOOD BOOTHS: (2) <br />James F. Gardner (United Methodist) <br />David Dorsett (Apostolic Temple) <br />CHILDRENS ACTIVITIES BOOTH: (1) <br />Heidi L. Wiseman (Friends of the Indiana <br />Ronald McDonald House) <br />It was noted that with these additional applications, the total <br />number of booth applications approved to date is ninety-nine <br />(99). <br />APPROVE SIDEWALK SALE PERMIT APPLICATION <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq <br />and carried, the following Sidewalk Sale Permit Application was <br />approved: <br />NAME: Duffins Miami Florist, Inc. <br />ADDRESS: 2208 Miami Street <br />BY: David Duffin <br />DATES: July 22-25, 1988 <br />PURPOSE: Retail - giftware <br />1 <br />
