REGULAR MEETING MAY 16, 1988 APPROVE REQUEST TO CLOSE THE 1100 BLOCK OF STANFIELD FOR FATHER'S DAY BLOCK PARTY - JUNE 19, 1988 Mr. Leszczynski advised that the appropriate City departments and bureaus have reviewed the request submitted to the Board on May 2, 1988 by Ms. Elizabeth Cauley, on behalf of The 1100 Club to close Stanfield Street between St. Vincent and Napoleon Streets on June 19, 1988 from 9:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. for a Father's Day Block Party and recommend approval. Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Ms. Humphreys and carried, the recommendation was accepted and the request approved. APPROVE TITLE SHEETS - I/N TEK Mr. Leszczynski advised that submitted to the Board today for signing are three (3) title sheets for the I/N Tek Sanitary Sewer Extension Project Phase II, III and IV for sanitary sewer piping. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the Title Sheets as submitted were approved and signed. FILING OF APPLICATIONS FOR BIDDER QUALIFICATION/CERTIFICATION Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the following applications for bidder qualification/ certification were accepted for filing and referred to the appropriate City departments and bureaus for review and recommendation: 1. BENEFITAMERICA 3030 North Rocky Point Drive West #370 Tampa, Florida 2. CS Associates, Inc. 110 South Taylor Street South Bend, Indiana 3. Government Leasing P.O. Box 38447 Colorado Springs, CO 80937 4. Elf Asphalt, Inc. 1510 Clover Mishawaka, Indiana 46545 5. Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance Company 140 Garden Street Hartford, Connecticut APPROVE CONTRACTOR'S BOND Mr. Melvin Humphrey, Engineering Department, recommended that the Contractor's Bond for The Holladay Corporation be approved retroactive to May 9, 1988. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Humphreys and carried, the recommendation was accepted and the Bond approved. FILING OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS REPORTS Two (2) reports from the Department of Code Enforcement indicating a total of one hundred twenty-one (121) properties cleaned were submitted. Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the reportsas submitted were filed. APPROVE CLAIMS Mr. Juan Manigault, Executive Director, St. Joseph County Job Training Program, submitted a list containing fifty-three (53) claims and recommended approval. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Humphreys and carried, the claims were approved and the report as submitted was filed.
