REGULAR MEETING <br />MAY 16, 1988 <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO CLOSE THE 1100 BLOCK OF STANFIELD FOR FATHER'S <br />DAY BLOCK PARTY - JUNE 19, 1988 <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the appropriate City departments and <br />bureaus have reviewed the request submitted to the Board on May <br />2, 1988 by Ms. Elizabeth Cauley, on behalf of The 1100 Club to <br />close Stanfield Street between St. Vincent and Napoleon Streets <br />on June 19, 1988 from 9:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. for a Father's Day <br />Block Party and recommend approval. Upon a motion made by Mrs. <br />DeClercq, seconded by Ms. Humphreys and carried, the <br />recommendation was accepted and the request approved. <br />APPROVE TITLE SHEETS - I/N TEK <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that submitted to the Board today for <br />signing are three (3) title sheets for the I/N Tek Sanitary Sewer <br />Extension Project Phase II, III and IV for sanitary sewer <br />piping. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. <br />DeClercq and carried, the Title Sheets as submitted were approved <br />and signed. <br />FILING OF APPLICATIONS FOR BIDDER QUALIFICATION/CERTIFICATION <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq <br />and carried, the following applications for bidder qualification/ <br />certification were accepted for filing and referred to the <br />appropriate City departments and bureaus for review and <br />recommendation: <br />1. BENEFITAMERICA <br />3030 North Rocky Point Drive West #370 <br />Tampa, Florida <br />2. CS Associates, Inc. <br />110 South Taylor Street <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />3. Government Leasing <br />P.O. Box 38447 <br />Colorado Springs, CO 80937 <br />4. Elf Asphalt, Inc. <br />1510 Clover <br />Mishawaka, Indiana 46545 <br />5. Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance Company <br />140 Garden Street <br />Hartford, Connecticut <br />APPROVE CONTRACTOR'S BOND <br />Mr. Melvin Humphrey, Engineering Department, recommended that the <br />Contractor's Bond for The Holladay Corporation be approved <br />retroactive to May 9, 1988. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Humphreys and carried, the <br />recommendation was accepted and the Bond approved. <br />FILING OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS REPORTS <br />Two (2) reports from the Department of Code Enforcement <br />indicating a total of one hundred twenty-one (121) properties <br />cleaned were submitted. Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, <br />seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the reportsas submitted <br />were filed. <br />APPROVE CLAIMS <br />Mr. Juan Manigault, Executive Director, St. Joseph County Job <br />Training Program, submitted a list containing fifty-three (53) <br />claims and recommended approval. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Humphreys and carried, the claims <br />were approved and the report as submitted was filed. <br />
