In order to assist in
the investigation of the complaints, it will be necessary for him
to review the manifests of all licensed taxicab companies for the
months of March, April and May.
It was noted that Sections 4-61(e) and (f) of the South Bend
Municipal Code mandate that each driver maintain a daily manifest
and that every holder of a license keep accurate records of
receipts from operations, operating and other expenses. Further,
every holder is required to maintain these records at a place
readily accessible for examination by the Board of Public Works.
Therefore, to facilitate the investigation of the complaints
received, it is requested that the Board authorize its attorney,
Marva J. Leonard -Dent, to request that all licensed taxicab
companies provide their March and April manifests and records tc
the City Attorney's office on May 15th and their May manifests
and records on June 15th.
Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq
and carried, the request was approved and the Board attorney
authorized to seek the information as indicated above.
REQUEST FOR DESIGNATED HANDICAPPED PARKING SPACE AT 1324 E.
CALVERT STREET - REFERRED
In a letter to the Board, Mrs. Louis J.
