Parmerlee, Clerk APPROVE CONTRACT FOR SALE OF PERSONAL PROPERTY AT PUBLIC AUCTION - POLICE DEPARTMENT AUCTION OF BICYCLES AND UNCLAIMED PROPERTY Mr. Leszczynski advised that pursuant to the Board's approval of a recent request of the Police Department to conduct an auction of unclaimed bicycles and other miscellaneous items on October 14, 1989, the appropriate Contract for Sale of Personal Property at Public Auction has been submitted for Board approval. It was noted that the Contract is between the City of South Bend and Kaser's Auction Service, 68099 Sycamore Road, North Liberty, Indiana. Ms. Humphreys made a motion that the Contract be approved. Mr. Leszczynski seconded the motion which carried and the Contract was approved and executed. APPROVE AGREEMENT - CITY OF SOUTH BEND /MATHEWS -PURUCKER-ANELLA, INC. - DESIGN OF ADDITION TO ADMINISTRATION AND LABORATORY BUILDINGS AT THE WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT Mr. Leszczynski advised that submitted to the Board today for approval and execution is an Abbreviated Form of Agreement Between Owner, City of South Bend and Architect, Mathews-Purucker-Anella, Inc., 218 South Frances Street, South Bend, Indiana. Mr. Leszczynski noted that this Agreement is for the design of an addition to the administration and laboratory buildings at the Wastewater Treatment Plant. Mr. Leszczynski further noted that the estimated construction cost for this project is $200,000.00 and that the fee for the design work is 8.50 of the construction costs. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Humphreys and carried, the Contract as submitted was approved and executed. In response to questions from the new media, Mr. Leszczynski stated that the lab has taken on a new importance in that it now does Water Works analysis and is very cramped for space. Mr. Leszczynski indicated that local funds will be utilized for this project which will not begin until next year. APPROVE DISTR ENGINEER'S )PECTION - IRONWOOD, AND MIAMI/JACKSON INTERSECTION SIGNALIZATION PROJECT Mr. Leszczynski advised that a District Engineer's Report of Inspection and Recommendation for Acceptance for the above referred to project has been submitted for Board approval and execution. He noted that a final inspection revealed that the intersections are in excellent condition and the project can therefore be closed.
