Parmerlee, Clerk <br />APPROVE CONTRACT FOR SALE OF PERSONAL PROPERTY AT PUBLIC AUCTION <br />- POLICE DEPARTMENT AUCTION OF BICYCLES AND UNCLAIMED PROPERTY <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that pursuant to the Board's approval of <br />a recent request of the Police Department to conduct an auction <br />of unclaimed bicycles and other miscellaneous items on October <br />14, 1989, the appropriate Contract for Sale of Personal Property <br />at Public Auction has been submitted for Board approval. It was <br />noted that the Contract is between the City of South Bend and <br />Kaser's Auction Service, 68099 Sycamore Road, North Liberty, <br />Indiana. Ms. Humphreys made a motion that the Contract be <br />approved. Mr. Leszczynski seconded the motion which carried and <br />the Contract was approved and executed. <br />APPROVE AGREEMENT - CITY OF SOUTH BEND /MATHEWS -PURUCKER-ANELLA, <br />INC. - DESIGN OF ADDITION TO ADMINISTRATION AND LABORATORY <br />BUILDINGS AT THE WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that submitted to the Board today for <br />approval and execution is an Abbreviated Form of Agreement <br />Between Owner, City of South Bend and Architect, <br />Mathews-Purucker-Anella, Inc., 218 South Frances Street, South <br />Bend, Indiana. Mr. Leszczynski noted that this Agreement is for <br />the design of an addition to the administration and laboratory <br />buildings at the Wastewater Treatment Plant. Mr. Leszczynski <br />further noted that the estimated construction cost for this <br />project is $200,000.00 and that the fee for the design work is <br />8.50 of the construction costs. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Humphreys and carried, the Contract <br />as submitted was approved and executed. <br />In response to questions from the new media, Mr. Leszczynski <br />stated that the lab has taken on a new importance in that it now <br />does Water Works analysis and is very cramped for space. Mr. <br />Leszczynski indicated that local funds will be utilized for this <br />project which will not begin until next year. <br />APPROVE DISTR <br />ENGINEER'S <br />)PECTION - IRONWOOD, <br />AND MIAMI/JACKSON INTERSECTION SIGNALIZATION PROJECT <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that a District Engineer's Report of <br />Inspection and Recommendation for Acceptance for the above <br />referred to project has been submitted for Board approval and <br />execution. He noted that a final inspection revealed that the <br />intersections are in excellent condition and the project can <br />therefore be closed.
