Mrs. DeClercq made a motion that the Agreement be approved. Ms. Humphreys seconded the motion which carried. APPROVE WASTEWATER DISCHARGE PERMIT_- BOLIDEN METECH INC. Mr. Donald W. Stilz, Pretreatment Coordinator, Environmental Services, submitted to the Board and recommended approval of a Wastewater Discharge Permit for Boliden Metech, Inc., 445 North Sheridan, South Bend, for the period July 24, 1989 to July 24, 1994. Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that this permit be approved. Mrs. DeClercq seconded the motion which carried and Permit No. SB026 was approved. APPROVE APPLICATION FOR BIDDER QUALIFICATION Mr. Leszczynski stated that the Board has been advised that the Affirmative Action Application for Bidder Qualification as submitted by Don's Gas & Car Wash, Inc., 1836 South Michigan Street, South Bend, Indiana, has been recommended for approval. Therefore, Mrs. DeClercq made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the application be approved. Ms. Humphreys seconded the motion which carried. Mr. Leszczynski stated that Ms. Cindy Berg, 128 East Tasher, South Bend, Indiana, has advised that the residents of the 100 block of East Tasher are planning a block party on July 29, 1989, from 3:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. and would therefore like the 100 block of East Tasher, from Michigan and Jennings, closed for the block party. Mr. Leszczynski noted that the appropriate City departments and bureaus have reviewed this request and approval is recommended. Therefore,, Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the request be approved. Ms. Humphreys seconded the motion which carried. REQUEST OF CITY AWNING TO ERECT A CANOPY AT 1905 MIAMI STREET - REFERRED In a letter to the Board, Mr. Hank Craft, Sales Representative, City Awning of South Bend, 1835 South Franklin Street, South Bend, Indiana, requested permission to install a canopy which will project out over the City sidewalk at Jovis Restaurant, 1905 Miami Street. Mr. Craft advised the Board of the following information regarding the canopy: - Front edge of canopy will project a minimum of three (3) feet (3611) over the sidewalk; - Frame will consist of three -fourths inch (3/411) heavy duty aluminum rafters spaced equally apart and one inch (11') bottom and top rails; - Bottom of frame will be a minimum of eight feet, six inches (816"),''(102" from sidewalk). Mr. Craft additionally submitted a drawing of the canopy with his request. Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the request be referred to the appropriate City departments and bureaus for review and recommendation. Mrs. DeClercq seconded the motion which carried.
