DK&MAN-IBM (5-1/4") $ 895.00 <br />6 Model 3210 W/Ultrasonic Sensor 16,170.00 <br />7 Nickel Cadmium Battery Assy. - Q.A. 1,435.00 <br />1 Five Station Battery Charger - QA 285.00 <br />TOTAL: $18,785.00 <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq <br />and carried, the recommendations were accepted and the bids were <br />awarded as indicated above. <br />AWARD BID - CAR WASHES FOR CITY VEHICLES FOR THE PERIOD AUGUST 1 <br />1989 THROUGH JULY 31, 1990 <br />Police Chief Ronald G. Marciniak advised the Board that he has <br />reviewed the one (1) bid received on July 3, 1989 for car washes <br />for City vehicles and recommends at this time that the bid of <br />Don's Gas & Car Wash, Inc., 1836 South Michigan Street, South <br />Bend, Indiana, be awarded as follows: <br />Wet Wash only, 1-100 units per month: $1.50 each <br />Wet Wash only, 100 or more units per month: $1.25 each <br />Jeeps: $1.50 each <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Humphreys <br />and carried, the recommendation was accepted and the above <br />referred to bid was awarded and as no bids were received for <br />full -service car washes, the Police Department was authorized to <br />seek at least two (2) quotations for this service and submit <br />their findings and recommendation to the Board. <br />ACCEPT AND APPROVE EASEMENT AGREEMENTS _-_27TH STREET LIFT STATION <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that two (2) Easement Agreements from <br />David Lesley, 2625 Northside Boulevard, South Bend, Indiana, <br />granting unto the City a permanent easement over and under the <br />following described parcels of real estate have been submitted: <br />Lots H and I as shown on the Plat of the subdivision of <br />Lot C to River Park, now the City of South Bend, Indiana, <br />by the Twin City Reality Company recorded July 21, 1900 <br />in Plat Book 7, Page 74 in the Office of the Recorder <br />of St. Joseph County, Indiana. <br />It was noted that these Easements are for the benefit of the City <br />for the maintenance of a sewer system. Therefore, Mr. <br />Leszczynski made a motion that the Easement Agreements be <br />accepted and approved. Mrs. DeClercq seconded the motion which <br />carried. <br />ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 28-1989 - AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF <br />VEHICLE TITLES <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski <br />and carried, the following Resolution No. 28-1989 was adopted: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 28-1989 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF VEHICLE TITLES <br />WHEREAS, on August 12, 1986, the Board of Public Works of <br />the City of South Bend adopted Resolution No. 18-1986, declaring <br />obsolete sixty-seven (67) City -owned vehicles and approving their <br />sale at a public auction held on September 6, 1986; and <br />I_ - <br />I <br />
