Box 9267 <br />Austin, Texas 78766 <br />Bid was submitted by Mr. Walt Boyes, Jr., Market Manager, <br />Non -Collusion Affidavit was in order and a 10% Bid Bond <br />was submitted. <br />BID: For Item "B" Only: <br />6 Each Series UD-1100 Portable Ultrasonic Flow <br />Recorder/Datalogger <br />Total price for six (6) systems: $30,005.00 <br />Upon a motion <br />made by Mr. Leszczynski, <br />seconded by Mrs. <br />DeClercq <br />and carried, <br />the bids were referred to <br />Mr. Jack Dillon, <br />Director, <br />Environmental <br />applications <br />Services, for review and <br />for bidder qualification were <br />recommendation and the <br />accepted for filing <br />and referred <br />to the Affirmative Action <br />Review Committee <br />for <br />review and recommendation. <br />Mr. Leszczynski and Mr. Dillon answered numerous questions asked <br />by the news media regarding this equipment and its use. Mr. <br />Leszczynski advised that this equipment will be utilized in the <br />combined sewer overlow survey. Mr. Jack Dillon, Director, <br />Environmental Services, advised that thirteen (13) meters will be <br />permanently installed with the remaining meters utilized as <br />backups which may be permanently installed at a later date. Mr. <br />Leszczynski noted that the combined sewer study, conducted by <br />Lawson -Fisher, is part of the City's permit requirements. <br />REQUEST FOR PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING DENIAL OF RUBBISH AND <br />GARBAGE REMOVAL LICENSE APPLICATION - JAMES SCOTT - REFERRED <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that on June 26, 1989, the Board of <br />Public Works denied the Rubbish and Garbage Removal License <br />application for Mr. James Scott, 2629 Newcome Street, South Bend, <br />Indiana. At that time, Mr. Scott was advised that he was <br />entitled to a Hearing before the Board of Public Works regarding <br />this matter. Mr. Leszczynski further stated that Mr. Scott has <br />now advised that he would like a Public Hearing regarding the <br />denial of his license. Therefore, Mrs. DeClercq made a motion <br />that the request for a Public Hearing be referred to the City <br />Attorney's office for review. Mr. Leszczynski seconded the <br />motion and it carried. <br />
