180 REGULAR MEETING JUNE 26, 1989 The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at 9:37 a.m. on Monday, June 26, 1989, by Board President John E. Leszczynski, with Mr. Leszczynski, Mrs. Patricia E. DeClercq and Ms. Katherine Humphreys present. Also present was Assistant City Attorney Jenny Pitts-Manier. APPROVE MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETINGS Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Ms. Humphreys and carried, the minutes of the special meeting of the Board held on June 15, 1989 and the minutes of the regular meeting of the Board held on June 19, 1989 were approved. APPROVE FUND/EC Ms. Betsy Harriman, Offi the Agreement for Staff approval is between the Board of Public Works on Department and the Trust of South Bend, Indiana. AGREEMENT FOR ' - INDUSTRIAL REVOLVING ce of Community Development, advised that Support submitted to the Board today for City of South Bend by and through the behalf of its Economic Development known as The Industrial Revolving Fund Ms. Harriman stated that the Agreement provides general staff support to the Trust for which the City shall receive the sum of $7,500.00. The term of the Agreement is January 1, 1989 through December 31, 1989 and the services to be provided include collection of documentation required by each respective loan agreement, contacting loan recipient if documentation is delinquent, special notification to the Trust in the case of a covenant violation and annual preparation of a financial statement. It was noted that even though the date of this Agreement is January 1, 1989 through December 31, 1989, the services have been provided since January and at this time the terms and conditions have been set forth in this Agreement for Staff Support. Ms. Harriman noted that no specific individual has been assigned to provide the services referred to above but services are provided by the staff of the Department of Economic Development. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Ms. Humphreys and carried, the Agreement for Staff Support was approved and executed. :IAL ACTION - INDIANA DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS - TURNING MOVEMENTS - U.S. 20 & MAPLEWOOD AVENUE AND WOODBINE Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Indiana Department of Highways has submitted to the Board an Official Action form which indicates that the IDOH proposes to make certain traffic control improvements and indicates that controls will be established. The Official Action form states that turning movements shall be controlled at the intersection of US 20 (Lincolnway) and Maplewood Avenue and Woodbine in the City of South Bend as follows: TURN ON RED - Shall be prohibited on the east and west approaches of the intersection of US 20 (Lincolnway) and Maplewood Avenue and Woodbine. RIGHT TURN ON RED - Shall be permitted on the north and south approaches of the intersection of U.S. 20 (Lincolnway) and Maple- wood Avenue and Woodbine.
