REGULAR MEETING <br />JUNE 12, 1989 <br />1'71 <br />1 <br />L� <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO CLOSE WOODMONT, FROM PIEDMONT WAY TO TRENT <br />WAY, FOR NEIGHBORHOOD BLOCK PARTY - JUNE 17, 1989 <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the appropriate City departments and <br />bureaus have reviewed the above referred to request which was <br />submitted to the Board on June 5, 1989 and approval is <br />recommended. Therefore, Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the <br />recommendation be accepted and the request be approved. Mrs. <br />DeClercq seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE REQUEST OF HOLY CROSS PARISH TO CLOSE VASSAR. FROM <br />LAWNDALE TO WILBER, IN CONJUNCTION WITH PARISH PICNIC - JUNE 18. <br />1989 <br />Mr. Leszczynski noted that on May 30, 1989, Holy Cross Parish <br />submitted a request to the Board to close Vassar, from Lawndale <br />to Wilber,in cojunction with the parish picnic to be held on June <br />18, 1989. He further noted that this request has now been <br />reviewed by the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, Police Department <br />Traffic Division and the City Attorney's office and approval is <br />recommended. Therefore, Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the <br />recommendation to approve be accepted. Mrs. DeClercq seconded <br />the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE RE, <br />UEST TO CLOSE SUNNYMEDE AVENUE, FROM TWYCKENHAM TO <br />FOR NEIGHBORHOOD BLOCK PARTY - JULY 2, 1989 <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the appropriate City departments and <br />bureaus have now reviewed the above referred to request which was <br />submitted to the Board on June 5, 1989 and approval is <br />recommended. Therefore, Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the <br />request be approved. Mrs. DeClercq seconded the motion which <br />carried. <br />APPROVE SIDEWALK SALE PERMIT APPLICATIONS <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the following Sidewalk Sale Permit <br />applications have been submitted for approval: <br />1. Michigan <br />July 1-2, 1989 <br />It was noted that the appropriate Indemnification Agreement was <br />attached to each application submitted. Mr. Leszczynski made a <br />motion that the applications be approved. Mrs. DeClercq seconded <br />the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq <br />and carried, the following six (6) traffic control devices were <br />approved: <br />1. NEW INSTALLATION: 1 Hour Parking 6A - 6P <br />LOCATION: 714 East Jefferson <br />REMARKS: New Business K A C on the RUN <br />2. NEW INSTALLATION: No Parking, standing, or <br />stopping - tow zone <br />LOCATION: 643 LaPorte Avenue (in the alley) <br />
