REGULAR MEETING JUNE 12, 1989 1'71 1 L� APPROVE REQUEST TO CLOSE WOODMONT, FROM PIEDMONT WAY TO TRENT WAY, FOR NEIGHBORHOOD BLOCK PARTY - JUNE 17, 1989 Mr. Leszczynski advised that the appropriate City departments and bureaus have reviewed the above referred to request which was submitted to the Board on June 5, 1989 and approval is recommended. Therefore, Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the request be approved. Mrs. DeClercq seconded the motion which carried. APPROVE REQUEST OF HOLY CROSS PARISH TO CLOSE VASSAR. FROM LAWNDALE TO WILBER, IN CONJUNCTION WITH PARISH PICNIC - JUNE 18. 1989 Mr. Leszczynski noted that on May 30, 1989, Holy Cross Parish submitted a request to the Board to close Vassar, from Lawndale to Wilber,in cojunction with the parish picnic to be held on June 18, 1989. He further noted that this request has now been reviewed by the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, Police Department Traffic Division and the City Attorney's office and approval is recommended. Therefore, Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the recommendation to approve be accepted. Mrs. DeClercq seconded the motion which carried. APPROVE RE, UEST TO CLOSE SUNNYMEDE AVENUE, FROM TWYCKENHAM TO FOR NEIGHBORHOOD BLOCK PARTY - JULY 2, 1989 Mr. Leszczynski advised that the appropriate City departments and bureaus have now reviewed the above referred to request which was submitted to the Board on June 5, 1989 and approval is recommended. Therefore, Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the request be approved. Mrs. DeClercq seconded the motion which carried. APPROVE SIDEWALK SALE PERMIT APPLICATIONS Mr. Leszczynski advised that the following Sidewalk Sale Permit applications have been submitted for approval: 1. NAME: BY: LOCATION: DATES: 2. Michigan July 1-2, 1989 It was noted that the appropriate Indemnification Agreement was attached to each application submitted. Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the applications be approved. Mrs. DeClercq seconded the motion which carried. APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the following six (6) traffic control devices were approved: 1. NEW INSTALLATION: 1 Hour Parking 6A - 6P LOCATION: 714 East Jefferson REMARKS: New Business K A C on the RUN 2. NEW INSTALLATION: No Parking, standing, or stopping - tow zone LOCATION: 643 LaPorte Avenue (in the alley)
