REGULAR MEETING <br />JUNE 5, 1989 <br />163 <br />BLOCK PARTY <br />- JUNE 10-11, 1989 <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting <br />and the Police Department Traffic Division have reviewed the <br />above referred to request which was submitted to the Board on May <br />30, 1989 and denial of the request is recommended. It was noted <br />that the Board has already received and approved requests to <br />close Smith Street, from Olive to Huey on June 10, 1989 and Huey <br />Street, from Linden to Smith, on June 11, 1989 for neighborhood <br />block parties. Mr. Leszczynski noted that it is against the <br />Board's policy to close the same street for two (2) days. <br />Therefore, upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Ms. <br />Humphreys and carried, the recommendation was accepted and the <br />request denied. <br />TO C <br />ST TO CLOSE <br />LINDEN TO SMI <br />GOLDEN TO VASSA <br />FOR BLOCK PARTY - JUNE 11 1989 <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the appropriate City departments and <br />bureaus have reviewed the above referred to request which was <br />submitted to the Board on May 30, 1989, and approval is <br />recommended. Mr. Leszczynski therefore made a motion that the <br />recommendation be accepted and the request be approved. Ms. <br />Humphreys seconded the motion and it carried. <br />V <br />FILING OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS REPORT <br />A report from the Department of Code Enforcement indicating a <br />total of thirty-six (36) properties cleaned from May 22, 1989 to <br />May 23, 1989, was submitted. Upon a motion made by Mrs. <br />DeClercq, seconded by Ms. Humphreys and carried, the report as <br />submitted was filed. <br />APPROVE CLAIMS <br />Chief Deputy.Controller John Leisenring submitted to the Board <br />Claim Docket Nos. 9192 through 9791 and recommended approval. <br />Additionally, Voucher Nos. 441-468 for the Bureau of Wastewater, <br />Voucher Nos. 322-350 for the Bureau of Sewers and Voucher No. 34 <br />for the Bureau of Solid Waste were submitted for approval.
