Adams Street on both sides from Orange Street to Colfax. <br />2. Orange Street from Adams to College Street <br />3. College Street on the east side, from Washington Street <br />to Orange Street. On Orange Street, no parking on either <br />side. <br />Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that this request be referred to <br />the Police Department Traffic Division and the Bureau of Traffic <br />and Lighting for review and recommendation. Mrs. DeClercq <br />seconded the motion and it carried. <br />APPROVE BLOCK PARTY REQUESTS: <br />1. HUEY STREET, FROM LINDEN TO SMITH - JUNE 11, 1989 <br />2. SMITH STREET, FROM OLIVE TO HUEY - JUNE 10, 1989 <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the appropriate City departments and <br />bureaus have reviewed the above referred to block party requests <br />which were submitted to the Board on May 22, 1989 and approval is <br />recommended. <br />Therefore, Mrs. DeClercq made a motion that the request to close <br />Huey Street as indicated above be approved. Ms. Humphreys <br />seconded the motion which carried. Additionally, Ms. Humphreys <br />made a motion that the request to close Smith Street, from Olive <br />to Huey, be approved. Mrs. DeClercq seconded that motion and it <br />carried. <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO CONDUCT WORLD'S LARGEST GARAGE SALE AT COLFAX <br />PARKING GARAGE - JUNE 10, 1989 <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the appropriate City departments and <br />bureaus have reviewed the above referred to request which was <br />submitted to the Board on March 27, 1989 and approval is <br />recommended at this time. It was noted that Dr. Martin Feferman, <br />owner of the landscaped lot just south of the parking garage, has <br />also granted permission for use of his property as requested. <br />Therefore, Mrs. DeClercq made a motion that the recommendation be <br />accepted and the request be approved. Ms. Humphreys seconded the <br />motion which carried. <br />APPROVE REQUEST OF DEPAR <br />RKS TO CLOSE NILES <br />AVENUE, BETWEEN WASHINGTON AND COLFAX, ON JULY 4, 1989 AND JULY <br />22-23, 1989 IN CONJUNCTION WITH KAYAK RACES TO BE HELD ON THE <br />EAST RACE <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the appropriate City departments and <br />bureaus have reviewed the request of Mr. Karl T. Stevens, <br />Superintendent, Department of Public Parks, to close Niles <br />Avenue, between Washington and Colfax, on July 4, 1989 and July <br />22-23, 1989 from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in conjunction with the <br />kayak races to be held on the East Race and approval is <br />recommended. Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by <br />Ms. Humphreys and carried, the recommendation was accepted and <br />the request approved. <br />APPROVE APPLICATION FOR BIDDER QUALIFICATION <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Application for Bidder <br />Qualification for Ulrich Chemical, Inc. has been reviewed and <br />recommended for approval. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the <br />recommendation was accepted and the application approved. <br />1 <br />1 <br />
