132 <br />REGULAR MEETING MAY 8, 1989 <br />APPROVE REQUEST OF POTAWATOMI ZOOLOGICAL SOCIETY, INC. FOR <br />PARKING RESTRICTIONS IN CONJUNCTION WITH ZOOFEST - JUNE 10-11, <br />1989 <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the appropriate City departments and <br />bureaus have reviewed the above referred to request submitted to <br />the Board on May 1, 1989 and recommend approval. Therefore, upon <br />a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and <br />carried, the recommendations were accepted and the request <br />approved. <br />APPROVE TRANSPO REQUEST TO RENAME JEFFERSON BOULEVARD AS "TRANSPO <br />WAY" - MAY 17, 1989 <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the appropriate City departments and <br />bureaus have reviewed the above referred to request submitted to <br />the Board on May 1, 1989 and recommend approval. Therefore, upon <br />a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and <br />carried, the recommendations were accepted and the request <br />approved. <br />APPROVE REQUEST OF WEST SIDE MEMORIAL COMMITTEE TO CONDUCT <br />MEMORIAL DAY PARADE - MAY 29, 1989 <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the appropriate City departments and <br />bureaus have reviewed the above referred to request submitted to <br />the Board on May 1, 1989 and recommend approval. Therefore, upon <br />a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and <br />carried, the recommendations were accepted and the request <br />approved. <br />APPROVE REQUEST OF ST. MARY OF THE ASSUMPTION CHURCH TO CLOSE A <br />PORTION OF ASSUMPTION DRIVE IN CONJUNCTION WITH ANNUAL PARISH <br />FESTIVAL - AUGUST 13, 1989 <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the appropriate City departments and <br />bureaus have reviewed the above referred to request submitted to <br />the Board on May 1, 1989 and recommend approval. Therefore, upon <br />a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and <br />carried, the recommendations were accepted and the request <br />approved. <br />APPROVE REQUEST OF KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS TO CONDUCT ANNUAL TOOTSIE <br />ROLL SALE ON PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY - MAY 12-13, 1989 <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the appropriate City departments and <br />bureaus have reviewed the above referred to request submitted to <br />the Board on May 1, 1989 and recommend approval. Therefore, upon <br />a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and <br />carried, the recommendations were accepted and the request <br />approved. <br />APPROVE AGREEMENT FOR USE OF PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY FOR FOOT RACES <br />AND SIMILAR EVENTS - 19TH ANNUAL RIVER RUN <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that pursuant to Resolution No. 9-1985, <br />establishing policies and fees for foot races and similar events, <br />adopted by the Board of Public Works on March 4, 1985, Michigan <br />Watershed, Inc., sponsor of the 19th Annual River Run to be held <br />on Saturday, May 13, 1989, has fulfilled resolution requirements <br />and therefore the appropriate Agreement is being submitted to the <br />Board at this time. <br />It was noted that on April 10, 1989 the Board of Public Works <br />approved the date for this event. <br />Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by <br />Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the Agreement as indicated above was <br />approved and executed. <br />I <br />u <br />
