56 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />FEBRUARY 27, 1989 <br />5. The date of the transfer shall be determined by the <br />CORPORATION. <br />6. Parmerlee <br />APPROVE INSURANCE INDEMNIFICATION STATEMENT - CLAY UTILITIES <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that as part of the insurance requirements of <br />the Clay Utilities Lease, an Insurance Indemnification Statement has <br />been submitted for Board approval and execution. The Statement <br />indicates that the City will provide insurance and indemnification <br />protection under its Public Liability and Physical Self -Insurance <br />Program to Clay Utilities with limits of not less than $2,000,000.00 <br />for bodily injury and $500,000.00 for property damage. Upon a motion <br />made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Ms. Humphreys and carried, the <br />Statement as submitted was approved and executed. <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR RECEIPT OF BIDS - ONE (1) CAB AND <br />CHASSIS WITH A GROSS VEHICLE WEIGHT OF 35000 <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Robert Kruszynski, Manager, Department <br />of Sanitation, requested that the Board advertise for the receipt of <br />bids for one (1) cab and chassis with a gross vehicle weight of <br />35000. This vehicle will be used by the Department of Sanitation, <br />Bureau of Solid Waste, to hold a 20 YD. trash compactor. Mr. <br />Kruszynski further advised that this item was approved in the 1989 <br />budget. Additionally, the proposed bid will reflect a trade-in of <br />one (1) 1978 International truck Model 1854, with an 18 yard S II <br />Packer. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded <br />by Ms. Humphreys and carried, the above request was approved. <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR RECEIPT OF BIDS - SALE OF ABANDONED <br />VEHICLES <br />Mrs. Patricia E. DeClercq, Director, Department of Code Enforcement, <br />requested permission to advertise for the sale of approximately <br />eleven (11) abandoned vehicles, which are being stored at Super Auto <br />Salvage Corporation, 3300 Main Street, South Bend, Indiana. It was <br />noted that all vehicles have been stored more than fifteen (15) days, <br />identification checks had been run for auto theft and the owners and <br />lienholders notified. Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded <br />by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the above request was approved and a <br />date of March 13, 1989, was established for the receiving and opening <br />of sealed bids. <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and <br />carried, the following two (2) traffic control devices were approved: <br />1. REVISED TO: 1 Hour Parking 6A - 6P <br />LOCATION• 1300 Block of Miami <br />2. REMOVAL: No Parking <br />LOCATION: East Side of Illinois Street across <br />from 833 <br />
