37 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />FEBRUARY 13, 1989 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at <br />9:33 a.m. on Monday, February 13, 1989, by Board member Patricia <br />E. DeClercq with Mrs. DeClercq and Ms. Katherine Humphreys <br />present. Board President John E. Leszczynski was not in <br />attendance. Also present was Chief Deputy City Attorney Thomas <br />Bodnar. <br />APPROVE MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Ms. Humphreys <br />and carried, the minutes of the February 6, 1989, regular meeting <br />of the Board were approved. <br />OPENING OF BIDS - ONE (1) STEEL TRACKED BULLDOZER AND FILING OF <br />APPLICATION FOR BIDDER QUALIFICATION <br />This was the date set for receiving and opening of sealed bids <br />for the above referred to equipment. The Clerk tendered proofs <br />of publication of Notice in the South Bend Tribune and the <br />Tri-County News which were found to be sufficient. The following <br />bids were opened and publicly read: <br />INDIANA EQUIPMENT COMPANY, INC. <br />4530 Merchant Road <br />Fort Wayne, Indiana 46856 <br />Bid was signed by Gerard A. Guilloz, Vice -President, Non - <br />Collusion Affidavit was in order and a Bid Bond in the <br />amount of $12,000.00 was submitted. <br />BID: One (1) New 1989 Dresser Model TD-15-E Crawler <br />Type Tractor: $119,766.00 <br />Warranty: As per specifications <br />Delivery: 60 to 90 days <br />MAC ALLISTER MACHINERY COMPANY, INC. <br />7515 East 30th Street <br />Indianapolis, Indiana <br />Bid was signed by William L. Krodel, Assistant Treasurer, <br />Non -Collusion Affidavit was in order and a 10o Bid Bond <br />was submitted. <br />BID: One (1) New Caterpillar Model D6 Tractor, Series H, <br />74-inch gauge: $103,104.80 <br />Warranty: One (1) year full parts and labor followed <br />by MacAllister Limited Extended Power Train <br />Warranty for 24-months or a total of 5,000 <br />machine hours, whichever occurs first, <br />from date of delivery. <br />Delivery: Approximately ninety (90) days from receipt <br />of order or substitute unit <br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Humphreys, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq <br />and carried, the above bids were referred to the Bureau of Sewers <br />and the application for bidder qualification as submitted by <br />Indiana Equipment Company, Inc. was referred to the Affirmative <br />Action Review Committee for review and recommendation. <br />OPENING OF QUOTATIONS - CABLE REPLACEMENT - MORRIS CIVIC <br />AUDITORIUM <br />It was noted that this was the date set for the opening of <br />Proposals to replace drop cables and their respective feeds at <br />the Morris Civil Auditorium. The following Quotations were <br />opened and read: <br />
