375 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />NOVFMBER 19, 1990 <br />OPENING OF QUOTATIONS - STATE THEATRE MARQUEE ROOF REPAIR <br />Mr. Leszczynski noted that this was the date set for the <br />receiving and opening of Quotations for the above referred to <br />roof repair. The following Quotation was opened and read: <br />NORTH CENTRAL ROOFING, INC. <br />1118 North Logan <br />Mishawaka, Indiana 46545 <br />Quotation was submitted by Mr. M. Mark Modlin, Vice -President. <br />QUOTATION: <br />Base Bid: $12,592.00 <br />Temporary Roof Repairs: $ 450.00 <br />Total Base Bid (1 + 2): $13,042.00 <br />Alternate Al: $ 1,291.00 <br />Total with Alternate 1 (1 + 2 + Ali: $14,333.00 <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Humphreys <br />and carried, the Quotation received was referred to the <br />Department of Economic Development for review and recommendation. <br />AWARD BID - TRANSWESTERN BUILDING ASBESTOS ABATEMENT PROJECT <br />Mr. Bob Allen, Manager, Bureau of Public Construction, advised <br />that Clean Air Systems, Inc., 23349 State Road 23 West, South <br />Bend, Indiana, was the apparent low bidder for the above referred <br />to project. He noted that all aspects of their submittal were in <br />order and Cole Associates, Inc., is satisfied that their proposed <br />methods for the work met the specifications. Therefore, Mr. <br />Allen recommended award of Bid Package #1 - Asbestos Abatement, <br />as submitted by Clean Air Systems, Inc., in the amount of <br />$79,600.00. Mrs. DeClercq made a motion that the recommendation <br />be accepted and the bid be awarded. Ms. Humphreys seconded the <br />motion which carried. <br />AWARD BID - SIXTY-FIVE (65) SELF-CONTAINED BREATHING APPARATUS <br />WITH 30 MINUTE AIR CYLINDERS AND SIX (6) SELF CONTAINED BREATHING <br />APPARATUS WITH 60 MINUTE AIR CYLINDERS <br />In a letter to the Board, Fire Chief Luther Taylor advised that <br />after a careful review of the bids received on.
