374 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />NOVEMBER 19, 1990 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at <br />9:34 a.m. on Monday, November 19, 1990, by Board President John <br />E. Leszczynski, with Mr. Leszczynski, Mrs. Patricia E. DeClercq <br />and Ms. Katherine Humphreys present. Also present was Chief <br />Assistant City Attorney Jenny Pitts Manier. <br />AGENDA ITEMS ADDED/DELETED: <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq <br />and carried, the following agenda items were added and deleted: <br />ADDED: <br />- Proposal for Elevator or Escalator Service <br />DELETED: <br />- Award Bid Transwestern Building Demolition Project <br />APPROVE MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Ms. Humphreys <br />and carried, the minutes of the November 13, 1990, regular <br />meeting of the Board were approved. <br />OPENING OF BIDS - ONE (1) 5TH WHEEL MOUNTED GOOSENECK AUTOWAGON <br />AND ONE (1) DUAL REAR WHEEL ONE TON FOUR WHEEL DRIVE ONE TON <br />CHASSIS <br />This was the date set for receiving and opening of sealed bids <br />for the above referred to equipment. The Clerk tendered proofs <br />of publication of Notice in the South Bend Tribune and the <br />Tri-County News which were found to be sufficient. The following <br />bids were opened and publicly read: <br />WELLS CARGO, INC. <br />P.O. Box 728 <br />1503 M. McNaughton <br />Elkhart, Indiana 56515 <br />Bid was signed by Mr. Lawrence Huemmer, Sales Representative, <br />Non -Collusion Affidavit was in order, Non -Discrimination <br />Commitment form was completed and a ten per cent (10a) Bid <br />Bond was submitted. <br />BID: One (1) 36ft 16(.)0 GVWR CompacVan $18,551.00 <br />Bid noted that Wells Cargo is not quoting on the <br />towing vehicle. Wells Cargo is not in a position to <br />quote or furnish motorized vehicles as they are a <br />manufacturer of trailers only. <br />JORDAN'S AUTOMALL, INC. <br />609 East Jefferson Boulevard <br />Mishawaka, Indiana 46545 <br />Bid was signed by Mr. Thomas L. Wargo, Non -Collusion Affidavit <br />was in order and a ten per cent (10a) Bid Bond was submitted. <br />BID: One (1) One (1) Ton Truck 1991 Ford F350 $15,990.00 <br />Selling Price: $19,990.00 <br />Trade -In: - 4,000.00 <br />Net Price: $15,990.00 <br />Fire Chief Luther Taylor advised that this vehicle is to be <br />utilized as the Hazmat command post. <br />Therefore, Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the above bids be <br />referred to the Fire Department for review and recommendation. <br />Ms. Humphreys seconded the motion which carried. <br />1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />
