372 REGULAR MEETING NOVEMBER 13, 1990 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, that the charges listed on the attached documents, totaling $45,353.25, be, and hereby are, written off the accounts receivable of the City of South Bend as uncollectible. DeClercq RESOLUTION NO. 28-1990 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA WRITING OFF UNCOLLECTIBLE ACCOUNTS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF CODE ENFORCEMENT FOR ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP SERVICES PERFORMED IN 1986 WHEREAS, the City of South Bend, Indiana, Department of Code Enforcement, charged the persons listed on the attached documents for Environmental Clean-up Services; and WHEREAS, the charges have not been paid to the City of South Bend after at least two (2) notices were sent to the owners of the properties receiving the services; and WHEREAS, Federated Collection Agency, on behalf of the City of South Bend, has made every attempt to collect the aforementioned charges, and has not been successful; and WHEREAS, the Indiana State Board of Accounts has instructed the City to write off all uncollectible accounts for the year 1986 after every attempt to collect them has been made; and WHEREAS, the City of South Bend, by and through its Board of Public Works, desires to write off the accounts listed on the attached documents. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, that the charges listed on the attached documents, totaling $91,170.76, be, and hereby are, written off the accounts receivable of the City of South Bend as uncollectible.
