330 <br />REGULAR MEETING OCTOBER 15. 1990 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at <br />9:32 a.m. on Monday, October 15, 1990, by Board President John E. <br />Leszczynski, with Mr. Leszczynski, Mrs. Patricia E. DeClercq and <br />Ms. Katherine Humphreys present. Also present was Board Attorney <br />Jenny Pitts Manier. <br />APPROVE MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Ms. Humphreys <br />and carried, the minutes of the October 8, 1990, regular meeting <br />of the Board were approved. <br />OPENING OF BIDS - BOX OFFICE AND ADMINISTRATIVE COMPUTER SYSTEM - <br />MORRIS CIVIC AUDITORIUM <br />This was the date set for receiving and opening of sealed bids <br />for the above referred to equipment. The Clerk tendered proofs <br />of publication of Notice in the South Bend Tribune and the <br />Tri-County News which were found to be sufficient. <br />It is noted that bids for this equipment were originally opened <br />by the Board on July 9, 1990 and were rejected on September 10, <br />1990. <br />Mr. Leszczynski noted that the following vendors advised that <br />they decline to bid at this time: <br />1. American Management Systems, Inc. <br />20 North Clark Street <br />Chicago, Illinois 60602 <br />2. Moore Governmental Systems, Inc. <br />P.O. Box 3616 <br />Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70821 <br />3. Computer Sales International, Inc. <br />200 Maple Park Boulevard <br />St. Clair Shores, Michigan 48081 <br />4. Primus Electronics Corporation <br />18424 South I-55 <br />West Frontage Road <br />Joilet, IL 60435 <br />Board Attorney Jenny Pitts Manier advised that GIS Systems, Ltd., <br />5020 West Cypress Street, Tampa, Florida, submitted a bid which <br />contained a business check as bid security and not the required <br />Certified Check or Bid Bond. Additionally, the bid submitted by <br />Ticketmaster, Two W. Washington, Suite 530, Indianapolis, <br />Indiana, did not include a signed Non -Discrimination Commitment <br />form. <br />Therefore, Ms. Humphreys made a motion that the above referred to <br />bids of GIS Systems, Ltd. and Ticketmaster be rejected. Mrs. <br />DeClercq seconded the motion which carried. <br />The following bid was publicly read: <br />SELECT TICKETING SYSTEMS INC. <br />327 West Fayette Street <br />Syracuse, NY 13201 <br />Bid was signed by Mr. James M. Horsman, Non -Collusion Affidavit <br />was in order, Non -Discrimination Commitment form was completed <br />and a Cashier's Check in the amount of $4,036.50 was submitted. <br />
