316 <br />REGULAR_ MEETING SEPTEMBER 24. 1990 <br />WHEREAS, I.C. 36-1-11-6 permits and establishes procedure <br />for disposal of personal property which is no longer needed by <br />the City and which is unfit for the purpose for which it was <br />intended; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public <br />Works of the City of South Bend that service revolver Serial <br />No. 249K244 a .357 caliber Smith and Wesson revolver, is no <br />longer needed by the City and is unfit for the purpose for <br />which it was intended and has an estimated fair market value <br />of less than Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00). <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said property be disposed of <br />and removed from the City inventory. <br />ADOPTED this 24th day of September, 1990. <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND <br />s/John E. Parmerlee, Clerk <br />ACCEPT AND APPROVE RESOLUTION OF THE CENTURY CENTER BOARD OF <br />MANAGERS AUTHORIZING THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS TO RECEIVE AND <br />OPEN BIDS ON BEHALF OF THE CENTURY CENTER BOARD OF MANAGERS <br />Mr. Leszczynski noted that the Board is in receipt of a copy of a <br />Resolution which was adopted by the Century Center Board of <br />Managers on September 19, 1990 designating the Board of Public <br />Works as Bid Agent on behalf of the Board of Managers. <br />Therefore, Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the Resolution as <br />submitted be accepted and approved. Ms. Humphrey seconded the <br />motion which carried, and the following Resolution was approved: <br />RESOLUTION <br />DESIGNATION OF BID AGENT <br />WHEREAS, the Century Center Board of Managers, the <br />purchasing agent for Century Center, is a board of unpaid <br />volunteers who selflessly devote their valuable time to Century <br />Center matters and meet four (4) times a year on a regular basis; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works is the purchasing agent <br />for the Civil City of South Bend and meets on a regular weekly <br />basis; and <br />WHEREAS, it would be more efficient and effective if bids on <br />public purchases and public works and proposals on other <br />contracts involving Century Center could be opened on a more <br />frequent basis than the regular meetings of the Century Center <br />Board of Managers. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Century Center Board <br />of Managers that: <br />1. The Board of Public Works of the Civil City of South <br />Bend is hereby designated as a non-exclusive agent for the <br />purposes of receiving and opening all bids and proposals. <br />
